6. Operation

6.1 Power On and GPS Signal Acquisition

Upon powering on, the GPS speedometer will automatically begin searching for a GPS signal. During this process:

  • The display will show a counting sequence (from 1 to 300).
  • The text "GPS..." will flicker.
  • Once a GPS signal is acquired, the "GPS" symbol will illuminate steadily, and the speed will be displayed.
  • If no GPS signal is found within 300 seconds, an error code "E02" will be displayed.

6.2 Changing Speed Units

To switch between speed units (KM/H, MPH, Knots), quickly press the 'Mode' button located on the back of the device.

6.3 Setting ODO Data

To enter the ODO (accumulated mileage) data setting mode:

  1. Press and hold the 'Mode' button for 4 seconds.
  2. While holding, the ODO data will begin to increase.
  3. Release the button to pause the increase.
  4. Press and hold again to continue increasing the data, or release and quickly press again to decrease the data.
  5. The data will be recorded and saved once the button is released for more than a few seconds.

Note: The TRIP (single mileage) data automatically resets after power is turned off, while the ODO (accumulated mileage) data is saved.

7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your RYSJM GPS Speedometer, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the display and housing. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the screen or finish.
  • Waterproof Feature: The device has an IP67 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against immersion in water up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. While it can work normally in water, avoid prolonged submersion or exposing it to high-pressure water jets.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the speedometer in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
