Safety Information
WARNING: Improper installation, adjustment, alteration, service, or maintenance can cause injury or property damage. Refer to this manual. For assistance or additional information, consult a qualified installer, service agency, or the gas supplier.
- Always ensure adequate ventilation in the kitchen area.
- Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance.
- Never use the appliance as a space heater to heat or warm the room.
- Keep children away from the cooktop during operation and while it is cooling down.
- Gas Connection: The gas stove should be connected to the gas supply by a registered installer. During installation, it is essential to fit an approved gas tap to isolate the supply from the stove for convenience during subsequent removal or servicing.
- Leak Testing: Once the stove is installed, make sure all connections are properly sealed. Use a soapy water solution to test for leaks; never use a flame.
- Surface Film: Please tear off any protective film on the surface before using the cooktop to avoid fire hazards.
- Environment: DO NOT install the stove in a damp, closed environment, as long-term moisture can cause rust in the stainless steel components.

Setup and Installation
This gas cooktop is designed for built-in use only. It is strongly recommended that the gas cooktop be installed and tested by qualified professionals.
Pre-Installation Checks
- Ensure the installation area meets local codes and regulations for gas appliances.
- Verify that the cut-out dimensions in your countertop match the cooktop's requirements (21.73" W x 18.5" L).
- Confirm that the gas supply type (Natural Gas or LPG) matches the cooktop's configuration. If converting to LPG, ensure you have the extra LPG nozzles and that the conversion is performed by a professional. (Natural gas pressure regulator and gas pipe are NOT included).
- Ensure a 110V electrical outlet with a 3-prong plug is available within 4.5 feet of the installation area.
Installation Steps
- Prepare the Cut-out: Use the provided cut-out template board to ensure precise dimensions for your countertop opening.
- Positioning: Carefully place the cooktop into the prepared cut-out.
- Securing the Cooktop: Use the provided mounting brackets and screws to fix the cooktop to the worktop. The worktop thickness should measure between 0.79 to 1.58 inches.
- Gas Connection: A registered installer must connect the cooktop to the gas supply using the 1/2NPT Elbow Connector with Sealing Rings. An approved gas tap must be installed to allow isolation of the gas supply.
- Leak Test: After gas connection, perform a leak test using soapy water on all connections. Bubbles indicate a leak. Tighten connections and re-test until no bubbles appear. NEVER use an open flame for leak detection.
- Electrical Connection: Plug the 3-prong power cord into a grounded 110V electrical outlet.
- Insulation (if applicable):
- If the gas cooktop is NOT installed on a built-in oven, a wooden panel must be inserted for insulation. This panel must be placed at least 0.79 inch distance from the bottom of the cooktop.
- If installing on a built-in oven, the oven should be placed on two wooden strips. In the case of a joining cabinet surface, remember to leave a space of at least 1.78 x 22 inches from the back side.
- Final Check: Ensure all protective films are removed from the cooktop surface.
Operating Instructions
Using the Burners
- Ignition: The cooktop features melt-proof and anti-scalding bakelite knob controls with a child protection lock. To ignite a burner, you need to press down on the knob and rotate it simultaneously to the 'HIGH' flame setting.
- Flame Adjustment: Once ignited, continue to hold the knob down for a few seconds to allow the thermocouple to heat up. Then, release the knob and adjust the flame size by rotating the knob between 'HIGH' and 'LOW' settings as desired.
- Turning Off: To turn off a burner, rotate the knob clockwise until it clicks into the 'OFF' position.
Child Protection Lock: The press-and-rotate mechanism prevents accidental ignition by children.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your cooktop.
Daily Cleaning
- Tempered Glass Surface: Allow the cooktop to cool completely. Wipe the tempered glass surface with a soft cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for glass cooktops.
- Control Knobs: The bakelite knobs can be removed by pulling them straight up. Wash them with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly before reattaching.
Burners and Grates
- Heavy-duty Cast Iron Grates: The grates are removable for easy cleaning. Wash them with warm soapy water. For baked-on food, you may need to soak them or use a non-abrasive scrubber. Ensure they are completely dry before placing them back on the cooktop.
- Burner Caps and Bases: Remove the burner caps and bases. Clean them with warm soapy water and a soft brush. Ensure the burner ports are clear of any food debris. Dry thoroughly before reassembling.
- Igniter: Gently wipe the igniter (the small white ceramic pin) with a dry cloth to ensure it is clean and free of grease.
Important: Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or harsh chemicals on any part of the cooktop, as this can damage the finish.
Troubleshooting
Before contacting customer support, please refer to the following common issues and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Burner does not ignite. | No gas supply; igniter dirty or wet; power outage; knob not pressed down sufficiently. | Check gas valve; clean/dry igniter; check power connection; ensure knob is pressed firmly while turning. |
| Flame is uneven or yellow. | Burner ports clogged; incorrect gas type/pressure; burner cap not seated correctly. | Clean burner ports; verify gas type and pressure (professional check); reseat burner cap. |
| Gas odor detected. | Gas leak. | IMMEDIATELY turn off gas supply. Open windows. Do not operate electrical switches. Contact gas company and a qualified technician. |
| Knob is difficult to turn or sticky. | Food debris or grease buildup. | Remove and clean the knob and the area around the valve stem. |
User Tips
- Pan Size: Use cookware appropriate for the burner size to maximize efficiency and prevent heat loss.
- Pre-heating: Allow cast iron grates to heat up for a few minutes before placing cookware for more even cooking.
- LPG Conversion: If converting from Natural Gas to LPG, ensure all four LPG nozzles are installed correctly and the gas pressure is adjusted by a certified professional.
- Regular Cleaning: Wipe down the cooktop after each use to prevent food spills from hardening and becoming difficult to remove.
