1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

  • Always ensure the device is turned off before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
  • Do not expose the main unit to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight. The probe is designed for high temperatures, but the main unit is not.
  • The borescope features an intelligent temperature detection system. If the probe's temperature surpasses 95°C (203°F), the system will automatically disconnect to prevent potential damage. Allow the probe to cool down before resuming operation.
  • The probe is IP67 waterproof, but the main display unit is not. Avoid submerging the main unit in liquids.
  • Keep the device out of reach of children.
  • Use only the provided charging cable and adapter to prevent damage to the battery and device.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the borescope, as this will void the warranty and could cause injury.

5. Setup

  1. Charge the Battery: Before first use, fully charge the 4400mAh detachable battery using the provided USB charging cable. The charging indicator will show the charging status.
  2. Attach the Screen: If detached, securely connect the screen unit to the main handle.
  3. Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually labeled 'OK' or a dedicated power symbol) to turn on the borescope. The Ralcam logo will appear, followed by the live camera feed.
  4. Adjust Settings (Optional): Use the 'MENU' button to access settings such as language, date/time, and video resolution if needed.

6. Operating Instructions

  1. Insert the Probe: Carefully insert the camera probe into the area you wish to inspect.
  2. Adjust LED Lights: Use the dedicated light button (often indicated by a light bulb icon) to cycle through the 4 adjustable brightness settings of the 6+1 LED lights. This ensures optimal illumination for your inspection area.
  3. Control Articulation: Use the joystick on the main unit to control the 4-way 360° articulation of the camera lens. This allows you to precisely maneuver the camera to view different angles without rotating the entire cable. The probe can be locked at any desired angle for detailed inspection.
  4. Rotate Image: If the image orientation is incorrect, use the rotation function (often labeled 'MODE' or a rotation icon) to adjust the view by 180°.
  5. Capture Photos: Press the dedicated photo button (often a camera icon or a trigger on the handle) to take still images of your inspection.
  6. Record Videos: Press the dedicated video recording button (often a video camera icon) to start and stop video recording.
  7. Review Media: Use the 'MENU' or 'MODE' button to navigate to the gallery or playback mode to review captured photos and videos.
  8. Power Off: After use, press and hold the power button to turn off the borescope.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Probe: After each use, especially in dirty or oily environments, gently wipe the camera lens and probe with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn grime, a small amount of isopropyl alcohol can be used. Ensure the probe is dry before storage.
  • Cleaning the Main Unit: Wipe the display and main unit with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the main unit in water.
  • Battery Care: Recharge the battery regularly, even if the device is not used frequently, to maintain battery health. Store the device with a partially charged battery (around 50%) if storing for extended periods.
  • Storage: Store the borescope and its accessories in the provided carrying case in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
