3. Setup and Assembly
This bed frame requires assembly. Clear and detailed instructions, along with all necessary tools, are provided in the package. Follow the step-by-step guide included with your product for best results.
3.1 General Assembly Steps
- Unpack and Identify Parts: Lay out all components on a clean, soft surface. Compare them with the parts list in your instruction manual to ensure everything is present.
- Assemble Headboard and Footboard: Attach any necessary support legs or decorative elements to the headboard and footboard as per the instructions.
- Attach Side Rails: Connect the side rails to the headboard and footboard using the provided hardware. Ensure the guardrails are facing the correct direction.
- Install Slats: Place the wooden slats across the side rails. Secure them according to the instructions, often with screws or by fitting them into pre-drilled holes. Ensure the center support legs for the slats are properly installed.
- Assemble Storage Drawers: Follow the specific instructions for assembling the two storage drawers. This typically involves attaching the sides, bottom, and wheels. The drawers can be installed on either the left or right side of the bed.

Once assembled, gently move the bed frame to its desired location. Do not drag the frame, as this may damage the legs or connections.
4. Operation
The Merax Full Bed Frame is designed for comfortable and safe sleeping, featuring integrated storage and safety elements.
4.1 Using the Bed Frame
- Place a full-size mattress directly onto the wooden slats. A box spring is not required for this platform bed design.
- The integrated guardrails on both sides provide an added layer of safety, particularly useful for younger users, preventing accidental falls during sleep.
4.2 Storage Drawers
The two large storage drawers located under the bed provide convenient space for storing items such as clothes, bedding, toys, or books. These drawers are equipped with wheels for easy access and can be positioned on either the left or right side of the bed during assembly to suit your room layout.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will help prolong the life and appearance of your bed frame.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the wooden surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the painted finish.
- Hardware Check: Periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months) check all bolts, screws, and connections to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as necessary to maintain stability and prevent squeaking.
- Drawer Maintenance: Ensure the drawer wheels are free of debris to allow smooth operation. If drawers become stiff, clean the wheel tracks.
- Avoid Excessive Moisture: Protect the wood from prolonged exposure to moisture, which can cause warping or damage to the finish.
6. Troubleshooting
Here are some common issues and their solutions:
- Squeaking Noises:
Solution: Squeaking is often caused by loose connections. Check and re-tighten all bolts and screws on the frame, especially where the side rails connect to the headboard and footboard, and where the slats are secured. - Bed Frame Feels Unstable/Wobbly:
Solution: Ensure all hardware is fully tightened. Verify that all support legs (including those under the slats) are making firm contact with the floor. Check that the bed frame is on a level surface. - Drawers are Difficult to Open/Close:
Solution: Check for any obstructions in the drawer's path or under the bed. Ensure the drawer wheels are clean and free of debris. Verify that the drawers were assembled correctly and are not misaligned. - Missing Parts During Assembly:
Solution: Carefully re-check the packaging and all contents. If parts are genuinely missing, contact the seller or manufacturer with your product model and a description of the missing parts.

8. User Tips
- Organize Hardware: Before assembly, sort all hardware components into separate piles or containers. This can significantly speed up the assembly process.
- Two-Person Assembly: While assembly is designed to be straightforward, having a second person can make the process easier and safer, especially when handling larger components like the headboard and footboard.
- Drawer Placement: Consider your room layout before fully assembling the drawers. Remember they can be placed on either side of the bed to best suit your space and access needs.
- Mattress Protection: To prevent wear on the wooden slats, consider using a mattress protector or a thin layer of padding between the mattress and the slats.
