3.1 Crossbar Compatibility
Ensure your vehicle's crossbars meet the following specifications for proper fitment:
- Maximum thickness of cross bar: 1.35 inches
- Maximum width of cross bar: 4.6 inches

3.2 Assembly Steps
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and verify against the 'Included Components' list.
- Assemble Basket Sections: Connect the four main basket sections using the provided screws and the Allen wrench. Ensure all connections are secure. Refer to Figure 4 for the general assembly layout.
- Attach Fairings: Secure the Front, Side, and Back Fairings to the basket frame using the appropriate screws. The Front Fairing helps reduce wind resistance and noise.
- Prepare Mounting Hardware: Place foam padding on the U-bolts to protect your vehicle's crossbars.
- Mount to Crossbars: Position the assembled roof rack basket onto your vehicle's crossbars. Use the four universal U-bolts, bracket top plates, washers, and wing nuts to securely fasten the basket to the crossbars. Tighten all wing nuts evenly until the basket is firmly attached and does not wobble.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Loading Cargo
- The roof rack has a maximum load capacity of 200 lbs. Do not exceed this weight limit.
- Distribute the weight of your cargo evenly across the basket to maintain vehicle stability.
- Place heavier items at the bottom and center of the basket.
4.2 Securing Cargo
- Use the included waterproof bag to protect sensitive items from weather elements.
- Cover your cargo with the cargo net, hooking it to the basket rails to keep items contained.
- Utilize the tie-down straps to firmly secure all cargo, preventing shifting or falling during transit. Ensure straps are tightened securely but do not over-tighten to avoid damaging cargo or the rack.
- Periodically check the tightness of straps and the cargo net during long journeys.
4.3 Aerodynamic Design
The integrated steel wind fairing is designed to protect cargo from wind damage and reduce wind resistance, contributing to a quieter ride. Ensure it is properly installed and free from obstructions.

5. Maintenance
- Regular Inspection: Before each use, inspect the roof rack for any signs of wear, damage, or loose components. Check all bolts, nuts, and connections for tightness.
- Cleaning: Clean the rack with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the powder coating. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely to prevent rust.
- Corrosion Protection: The black powder coating provides resistance against weather elements and corrosion. If any scratches or chips occur, touch up with appropriate rust-inhibiting paint to prevent rust.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, consider removing the roof rack and storing it in a dry place to prolong its lifespan.
6. Troubleshooting
- Excessive Wind Noise: Ensure the wind fairing is correctly installed and securely fastened. Check that no cargo is obstructing the airflow around the fairing.
- Cargo Shifting: Re-tighten all tie-down straps and adjust the cargo net. Ensure cargo is packed tightly and evenly distributed.
- Rack Wobbling: Check all U-bolt connections and basket section screws. Tighten any loose fasteners. Ensure your vehicle's crossbars are also securely mounted.
- Difficulty Mounting: Double-check your vehicle's crossbar dimensions against the compatibility specifications (max thickness 1.35", max width 4.6").

9. User Tips
- Check Clearance: Be mindful of your vehicle's increased height with the roof rack and cargo, especially when entering garages, car washes, or low-clearance areas.
- Secure All Items: Even small items can become projectiles at high speeds. Always use the cargo net and straps to secure everything, even if using the waterproof bag.
- Regular Checks: During long trips, pull over periodically to check that the rack is still securely attached to your crossbars and that your cargo remains tightly secured.
- Driving Habits: Adjust your driving style to account for the added weight and wind resistance. Avoid sudden maneuvers and reduce speed, especially in windy conditions.
