4.1 Front Panel

  • TFT Color Screen: Displays output voltage, current, power, OVP/OCP settings, and operational status.
  • MENU Button: Accesses the menu for advanced settings and memory functions.
  • U/I Button: Toggles between voltage and current setting modes.
  • OVP/OCP Button: Enters Over-Voltage Protection (OVP) and Over-Current Protection (OCP) setting modes.
  • Arrow Keys (Up/Down/Left/Right): Navigates menus and adjusts parameter values.
  • Adjustment Knob: Fine-tunes parameter values. Rotate clockwise to increase, counter-clockwise to decrease. Press to confirm selection.
  • OUTPUT Button: Enables or disables the power output. Provides overload protection.

  • USB Serial Port: For computer communication and programming (I84020 / I83010 models).
  • Cooling Fan: Automatically activates to dissipate heat and maintain optimal operating temperature.
  • 110V/220V Switch: Selects the appropriate input voltage for your region. Ensure this is set correctly before plugging in.
  • Power Socket (with Fuse Holder): Connects the power cord to the mains supply. Contains a replaceable fuse for protection.

5. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the power supply and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Inspect: Check the unit for any signs of damage. If damaged, do not use and contact support.
  3. Voltage Selection: Locate the 110V/220V switch on the rear panel. Ensure it is set to match your local mains voltage. Incorrect setting can damage the unit.
  4. Placement: Place the power supply on a stable, level surface with adequate ventilation around all sides, especially the rear cooling fan.
  5. Power Connection: Connect the provided power cord to the power socket on the rear panel and then to a grounded electrical outlet.
  6. Load Connection: Connect your load to the red (+) and black (-) output terminals on the front panel using the testing lines. Ensure connections are secure and correct polarity is observed.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

  • To power on, press the main power switch on the front panel. The display will light up.
  • To power off, press the main power switch again.

6.2 Setting Voltage and Current

  1. Press the "U/I" button once to enter voltage setting mode. The voltage digits on the display will blink.
  2. Press the "U/I" button twice to enter current setting mode. The current digits on the display will blink.
  3. Use the Left/Right arrow keys to move the blinking cursor to the desired digit.
  4. Rotate the Adjustment Knob:
    • Clockwise rotation increases the value.
    • Counter-clockwise rotation decreases the value.
  5. Press the Adjustment Knob to confirm the digit value.
  6. Once the desired voltage/current is set, press the "OUTPUT" button to enable the output. The display will show "CV" for constant voltage output or "CC" for constant current output.

6.3 Over-Voltage Protection (OVP) and Over-Current Protection (OCP) Settings

  1. Press the "OVP/OCP" button once to enter OVP setting mode. The OVP voltage digits will blink.
  2. Press the "OVP/OCP" button twice to enter OCP setting mode. The OCP current digits will blink.
  3. Use the Left/Right arrow keys to move the blinking cursor.
  4. Rotate the Adjustment Knob to change the digit value.
  5. Press the Up/Down arrow keys to toggle OVP/OCP ON or OFF.
  6. If OVP or OCP is triggered, the output will be interrupted, and "OVP" or "OCP" will be displayed.

6.4 Memory Storage (M1/M2/M3)

  1. Press the "MENU" button to enter the menu.
  2. Use the Up/Down arrow keys to navigate to "M1", "M2", or "M3".
  3. Rotate the Adjustment Knob to change the blinking digit.
  4. Press the "MENU" button again to exit the menu.
  5. Press the "M1", "M2", or "M3" button to quickly recall the stored voltage and current values.

6.5 Output Enable/Disable Button

The red "OUTPUT" button enables or disables the DC power supply output. When the output is OFF, you can safely connect or disconnect your load without risk of electric shock. Pressing this button also provides overload protection.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Disconnect the power supply from the mains before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ventilation: Regularly check that the cooling fan and ventilation openings are free from dust and obstructions.
  • Storage: Store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
  • Fuse Replacement: If the unit does not power on, check the fuse located in the power socket on the rear panel. Replace with a fuse of the same type and rating if necessary.
