Maintenance
Regular maintenance will help prolong the life and appearance of your bed.
- Cleaning the Upholstery: For general cleaning, vacuum the linen fabric regularly using an upholstery attachment. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For tougher stains, consult a professional upholstery cleaner or use a mild fabric cleaner according to its instructions, testing on an inconspicuous area first.
- Wood Frame Care: Wipe the wood components with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.
- Hardware Check: Periodically (every 3-6 months) check all bolts, screws, and connections to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten if necessary to maintain stability and prevent squeaking.
- Slats Inspection: Inspect the wooden slats for any signs of damage or cracking. Replace any damaged slats immediately to ensure proper mattress support.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Bed wobbles or feels unstable | Loose connections; uneven floor. | Tighten all bolts and screws. Ensure the bed is on a level surface. Use furniture pads if necessary. |
| Squeaking noises | Loose hardware; friction between parts. | Re-tighten all connections. Apply a small amount of lubricant (e.g., paraffin wax) to contact points between slats and frame if squeaking persists. |
| Trundle difficult to pull out/push in | Obstruction; dirty wheels; damaged wheels. | Check for objects under the bed. Clean trundle wheels. Inspect wheels for damage and replace if necessary. |
| Slats appear to be sagging or broken | Excessive weight; manufacturing defect; wear and tear. | Ensure weight capacity is not exceeded. Contact customer support for replacement slats if under warranty. |
