6. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your MC-978EX transceiver.

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Transceiver does not power on. Battery is low or not properly installed. Charge the battery fully. Ensure the battery is securely attached.
Cannot hear other parties or low audio. Volume is too low, or communication is out of range/on a different channel. Increase volume. Ensure you are within range and on the correct channel. The MC-978EX has strong penetration to solve communication dead ends.
Cannot transmit or poor transmission quality. Battery is low, antenna is loose, or interference. Ensure battery is charged. Check antenna connection. Move to an area with less interference.
Difficulty matching frequencies with other devices. Incorrect procedure or incompatible device. Utilize the one-key frequency matching feature. Ensure the other device is compatible and ready for pairing.
Battery drains quickly. Frequent transmission, high volume, or aging battery. Reduce transmission time. Lower volume if possible. Ensure the battery is fully charged before use. The MC-978EX features intelligent power saving and a large capacity battery for long standby.
