5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Surenoo LCD module, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a screen-specific cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive materials, or excessive moisture.
  • Handling: Always handle the display by its edges. Avoid touching the screen surface directly to prevent fingerprints and scratches.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the display in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Power: Always use the recommended USB Type C power supply (5-12V/2A). Using an incorrect power supply can damage the board and display.
  • Connections: Periodically check all cable connections to ensure they are secure and free from damage.

6. Troubleshooting

No Display/Black Screen:

  • Check Power: Ensure the USB Type C power cable is securely connected and the power supply is active (5-12V/2A).
  • Check HDMI Connection: Verify that the HDMI cable is properly connected to both the display board and the video source. Try a different HDMI cable if available.
  • Video Source: Confirm that your video source (PC, Raspberry Pi, etc.) is powered on and outputting a signal.
  • LCD Connection: Re-check the flexible flat cable connections between the LCDs and the HDMI board, ensuring they are correctly seated as per the installation diagram.

Incorrect Display Orientation:

  • Use the 'Screen 180° Rotate' or 'Screen 90° Rotate' buttons on the HDMI board to adjust the display orientation.

Brightness Issues:

  • Use the 'Brightness-' and 'Brightness+' buttons on the HDMI board to adjust the display brightness.
  • Ensure the power supply provides sufficient current (2A recommended).

One Screen Not Working:

  • Check the flexible flat cable connection for the affected screen to ensure it is securely and correctly connected to the green adapter board and the main HDMI board.
  • Verify the screen itself is not damaged.

7. User Tips

  • Power Supply: Always use a stable 5-12V/2A USB Type C power supply for optimal performance and to avoid flickering or insufficient brightness.
  • Cable Management: When setting up, ensure the flexible flat cables are not bent sharply or under tension to prevent damage.
  • Testing: Before final installation in a project, test the display with a known working video source to confirm functionality.
  • Heat Dissipation: While the board is generally low power, ensure adequate airflow if integrating into an enclosed space, especially for prolonged use.
