4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your Satlink ST-7201 HD Modulator:

  1. Identify Ports: Familiarize yourself with the input and output ports on the device. The rear panel includes RF OUT, ANT IN, VIDEO IN, AUDIO IN (Left/Right), HD IN, DC 12V IN, and GND.

  3. Connect Input Source: Connect your video source (e.g., DVD player, DVB-S2 STB, monitor, video recorder) to the modulator. Use an HDMI cable for HD IN or RCA cables for VIDEO IN and AUDIO IN (Left/Right).

  5. Connect Antenna (Optional): If you are combining the modulated signal with an existing antenna signal, connect your antenna to the ANT IN port.

5. Operation

  1. Navigation: Use the directional arrow buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right) to navigate through the menu options displayed on the LCD.
  2. Selection: Press the OK button to select a menu item or confirm a setting.
  3. Return: Press the RETURN button to go back to the previous menu or exit a setting.
  4. Channel/Frequency Adjustment: Access the modulation settings through the menu to select the desired ATSC-T or ATSC-C channel and adjust the output frequency within the 50~860MHz range.
  5. RF Output Level: Adjust the RF output level from 69dBuV to 100dBuV in 1dBuV steps to match your distribution system requirements.
