2. Watch Overview and Button Functions

The SKMEI 2164 watch features four primary buttons for navigation and function control:

• A (Top Left - LIGHT): Activates the EL backlight.
• B (Top Right - START): Used to start/stop functions in Chronograph and Countdown modes, and to adjust values during setting.
• C (Bottom Left - MODE): Cycles through different watch modes (Time, Chronograph, Countdown, Alarm, Dual Time).
• D (Bottom Right - RESET): Used to reset values in Chronograph and Countdown modes, and to select items during setting.

3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Setting Time and Date

1. From the normal Time Display mode, press the MODE (C) button repeatedly until the seconds start flashing. This indicates you are in setting mode.
2. Press the RESET (D) button to cycle through the setting items: Seconds → Hour → Minute → Year → Month → Day.
3. Use the START (B) button to adjust the flashing value. Hold START (B) to increase values rapidly.
4. Once all settings are correct, press the MODE (C) button to exit the setting mode and return to the normal time display.

3.2 12/24 Hour Format

In the Time Setting mode (when seconds are flashing), press the START (B) button while the hour is flashing to toggle between 12-hour (with 'P' for PM) and 24-hour formats.

3.3 Activating the Backlight (EL Light)

Press the LIGHT (A) button at any time to illuminate the display for a few seconds, improving visibility in low-light conditions.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Chronograph (Stopwatch) Mode

1. Press MODE (C) until 'CHRONO' or 'STW' appears on the display.
2. Press START (B) to begin timing.
3. Press START (B) again to pause timing.
4. Press RESET (D) to reset the stopwatch to zero.
5. To resume timing after pausing, press START (B).

4.2 Countdown Timer Mode

1. Press MODE (C) until 'COUNT DOWN' or 'TMR' appears.
2. To set the countdown time, press and hold RESET (D) until the hours/minutes start flashing.
3. Press RESET (D) to select hours, minutes, or seconds.
4. Use START (B) to adjust the flashing value.
5. Once set, press MODE (C) to exit setting.
6. Press START (B) to begin the countdown.
7. Press START (B) again to pause/resume.
8. Press RESET (D) to reset the countdown to its set time.

4.3 Alarm Mode

1. Press MODE (C) until 'ALARM' or 'AL' appears.
2. Press and hold RESET (D) until the alarm hour starts flashing.
3. Press RESET (D) to switch between setting hours and minutes.
4. Use START (B) to adjust the flashing value.
5. Press MODE (C) to exit alarm setting.
6. To turn the alarm ON/OFF, press START (B) in Alarm Mode (without holding RESET). An alarm icon will appear/disappear.
7. To activate/deactivate the hourly chime (Repeater), press RESET (D) in Alarm Mode (without holding RESET). A chime icon will appear/disappear.

4.4 Dual Time Mode

1. Press MODE (C) until 'DUAL TIME' or 'DT' appears.
2. Press and hold RESET (D) until the hour starts flashing.
3. Press RESET (D) to switch between setting hours and minutes.
4. Use START (B) to adjust the flashing value.
5. Press MODE (C) to exit dual time setting.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Water Resistance

The SKMEI 2164 watch is rated for 5ATM (50 meters) water resistance. This means it is suitable for daily use, splashing, rain, and short periods of recreational swimming. It is NOT suitable for diving, snorkeling, or hot water activities (e.g., hot showers, saunas) as steam can penetrate the seals. Do not press any buttons while the watch is submerged in water.

5.2 Cleaning and Care

• Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture.
