Installation Guide
Follow these steps carefully for proper installation. For a visual guide, please refer to the installation video below.

- Step 1: Install the lock body. Drill holes on the door and install the lock body according to the provided drawings.

Installation of the lock body. - Step 2: Install the front panel copper column. Install the two screw bolts on the front cover. Insert the hollow square bar into the bottom of the front lever and let the data line stick out.
- Step 3: Install the square bar. Please ensure the square bar is inserted into the front handle to the end; otherwise, it will affect the normal use of the product.
- Step 4: Remove the rear panel baffle.
- Step 5: Insert the exterior assembly into the door hole.
- Step 6: Install the spring and the rear panel. Note: Install the spring to prevent the square bar from detaching from the front handle and causing malfunction.
- Step 7: Connect the data cable. Be sure to follow the markings (red to red) to connect the cable terminal to the female socket of the setting board; otherwise, it will cause a short circuit in the product.
- Step 8: Screw on the screws, install the battery and baffle. Install four #7 (AAA) alkaline batteries. Press down to open the battery cover.

The handle is reversible for both left-handed and right-handed doors.
App Configuration & Operating Instructions
To unlock the full potential of your smart lock, configure it with the Tuya Smart app.
App Setup:
- Download and install the "Tuya Smart" app from your device's app store.
- Open the Tuya Smart app, click the "+" icon, and then click "Add Device" to prepare for pairing.
- On the smart lock keypad, enter "123456" to activate wireless pairing mode.
- After approximately 10 seconds, the device should automatically appear in the app. Click on it to pair.
Note: If the device has already been added to another phone, it will enter standby mode instead of pairing mode.
Unlocking Methods:
- Fingerprint Unlock: In the app, navigate to "Family" and select "Fingerprint" to add new fingerprints. Follow the in-app instructions to register your fingerprint. Ensure your fingers are clean and dry for accurate recognition.
- Passcode Unlock: In the app, go to "Family" and select "Password" to set up new passcodes. You can create 6-10 digit passwords.
- Key Card Unlock: In the app, select "Card" to add new key cards. Present the key card to the lock's sensor for registration.
- App Remote Unlock: Once paired, you can remotely unlock the door directly from the Tuya Smart app. The app also provides a log of all unlock records.
- Mechanical Key Unlock: For emergency situations or when batteries are depleted, use the provided backup mechanical keys to unlock the door.


Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: We recommend replacing the four #7 (AAA) batteries every 180 days. Monitor the battery level weekly via the Tuya app; replace promptly if it falls below 30%.
- Protective Film: The front and rear handles are covered with protective film. Tear off the protective film after the door lock installation is completed.
Troubleshooting (FAQ)
- Q: How do I add fingerprints?
- A: We recommend checking the Quick Installation Guide (App Configuration section) and following the steps accordingly to complete the setup. If you need any assistance, please contact us at support@viladepot.com.
- Q: How long after should I replace the battery?
- A: We recommend replacing the battery after 180 days (please make sure the battery is fully charged). In addition, we recommend keeping an eye on the battery level weekly via the Tuya app; if it is less than 30%, please replace the battery promptly.
- Q: Fingerprint recognition is not working.
- A: If the smart lock has power, try again by changing to a different angle. If it has no power, you need to use a spare key to unlock the door to replace the battery. If none of the above methods are available, please contact us promptly.
