2. Safety Information
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, when working on engines.
- Ensure the engine is turned off and cooled down before connecting or disconnecting the timing light, unless instructed otherwise for specific tests.
- Keep the inductive pick-up away from hot engine components like the exhaust manifold to prevent damage.
- The KT60 is equipped with reverse polarity and overload protection for safety, but always ensure correct battery connections (Red to Positive +, Black to Negative -).
- Avoid pressing the handle button unnecessarily after timing is completed to extend the lifespan of the ignition timing light.
- This tool is designed for gasoline engine vehicles only.
3. Product Features
- Accurate Timing: Provides precise digital readout and advanced functions, with accuracy up to 10,000 RPM.
- Digital Display Panel: Features an LED screen and indicator lights to display RPM and ignition advance angle.
- Control Buttons: Four buttons allow switching between 4-stroke and 2-stroke modes, displaying RPM and ignition angle, and adjusting the ignition advance angle (0.1 degree increments with short press, 1 degree increments with long press).

- High-Intensity Lighting: Utilizes a super bright X-enon flash tube and a precisely focused Fresnel lens for optimal illumination, even in daylight conditions.
- Wide Application: Compatible with old classical cars, motorcycles, boats, agricultural machinery, and all 2-stroke or 4-stroke petrol engines operating on 9-16V ignition systems (12V vehicles). Note: For 6V systems, a separate 12V car battery is required for power.
- Sliding Sensor Clip (Inductive Pick-up): Essential for detecting ignition signals. Clamps onto the No.1 spark plug wire.

- Ergonomic Design: Pistol-type handle for comfortable grip and ease of operation.
- Durable Housing: Rugged, high-impact ABS housing provides shock resistance for daily use.
- Reverse Polarity Protection: Protects the device and vehicle battery from incorrect connections.
4. Setup and Installation
- Connect Power Clamps: Connect the red clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle's 12V battery and the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal. Ensure connections are clean and secure.
- Attach Inductive Pick-up: Clamp the inductive pick-up around the No.1 spark plug wire. Ensure the arrow on the pick-up points towards the spark plug.

Important Note: If the inductive pick-up is not used properly, it can result in inaccurate readings, intermittent light flashes, or the timing light not working at all.
5. Operating Instructions
- Prepare the Engine: Start the engine and allow it to warm up to its normal operating temperature.
- Select Engine Type: Use the '4/2' button on the digital display panel to select the correct engine stroke (4-stroke or 2-stroke) for your vehicle.
- Illuminate Timing Pulley: Aim the timing light at the engine's timing pulley. Press and hold the trigger on the handle to activate the flash.
- Read and Adjust Timing: Observe the timing marks on the pulley. If adjustment is needed, adjust the distributor until the timing marks are aligned according to your vehicle's specifications.
- Monitor RPM and Advance: Use the 'R/A' button to switch between displaying engine speed (RPM) and ignition advance angle. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to fine-tune the ignition advance angle if your engine requires it.

6. Maintenance
- Regularly inspect the power clamps and inductive pick-up for any signs of wear or damage.
- Keep the inductive pick-up clean and free from grease or debris to ensure accurate readings.
- Store the timing light in a dry, clean environment when not in use.
- Ensure battery terminals are clean for optimal electrical connection during use.
7. Troubleshooting
- Q: When powered on, there is no display on the screen, and the light does not flash when pulling the trigger.
- A: Ensure the power clamps are connected correctly (red to Positive +, black to Negative -). Verify that the clamps are connected to clean points on the battery terminals to ensure good electrical contact.
- Q: When powered on, there is a display on the screen, but unable to read engine speed.
- A: This timing light is designed for gasoline engine vehicles only. Confirm the inductive clip is clamped securely on the No.1 spark plug wire, and the arrow on the clip is pointing towards the spark plug. Check if the inductive clip is properly seated.
- Q: When powered on, there is a display on the screen, which can read the engine speed, but the light does not flash.
- A: The trigger on the handle must be held down continuously during testing for the light to flash.
- Q: When powered on, is able to read engine speed, but the reading is unstable.
- A: Check if the inductive clip is clamped firmly in place. Unstable readings can also be caused by interference from the external ignition system or an unstable spark plug ignition. First, inspect the spark plug for aging; if necessary, replace it.
