3. Setup Guide
3.1 Charging the Scanner
Before initial use, fully charge the scanner. Connect the USB cable to the charging base and then to a power source (e.g., computer USB port or USB wall adapter). Place the scanner into the charging base. The power indicator lights on the scanner will show charging status.

3.2 Connection Modes
The Eyoyo EY-029 offers three connection methods: 2.4G Wireless, Bluetooth, and USB Wired.

3.2.1 2.4G Wireless Connection (for PC/Laptop)
- Plug the 2.4G USB dongle into an available USB port on your PC or laptop.
- The system will automatically install the necessary drivers (Plug and Play).
- Scan the "2.4G Wireless Pairing Mode" barcode from the user manual to establish the connection.

3.2.2 Bluetooth Connection (for Phone/Tablet)
- Scan the "Bluetooth HID Pairing Mode" barcode from the user manual.
- On your phone or tablet, go to Bluetooth settings and search for available devices.
- Select "EYOYO Scanner HID" to pair.
- Once paired, the scanner is ready for use.

3.2.3 USB Wired Connection (for PC/Laptop/POS)
- Connect the USB cable directly from the scanner to your device's USB port.
- The scanner will function as a wired device, no additional drivers needed.

3.3 Multifunctional Charging Base
The included base serves multiple purposes:
- Charging Base: Connect the USB cable to the base for charging the scanner.
- Wireless Connection USB Port: The base itself can act as the receiver for 2.4G wireless connection, simplifying setup by only requiring one USB port for both charging and wireless connectivity.
- Extra Bracket Base: Provides a stable stand for the scanner, especially useful for auto-sensing scanning mode.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Scanning Modes
The scanner supports three distinct scanning modes to suit different operational needs. To switch between modes, scan the corresponding setup barcode in the user manual.

- Manual Trigger Mode: Press the trigger to scan each barcode individually. This is the default mode.
- Continuous Scanning Mode: After scanning the "Continuous Scanning Mode" setup barcode, the scanner will continuously emit a scan beam, automatically reading barcodes without needing to press the trigger. Note: This mode consumes more power.
- Auto-Sensing Scanning Mode: After scanning the "Auto-Sensing Scanning Mode" setup barcode, the scanner will automatically detect when a barcode is presented and activate the scan beam. It enters standby when no barcode is detected, saving power.

4.2 Upload Modes
The scanner offers two data upload modes:

- Instant Upload Mode: Barcodes are uploaded to your connected device immediately after scanning.
- Storage Mode: The scanner can store up to 100,000 barcodes in its internal memory. This is useful when working out of range of your device. To upload stored data, scan the "Data Upload" barcode from the user manual. Remember to clear the barcode data after uploading for the next use by scanning the "Clear Data" barcode.

4.3 Barcode Types Supported
The Eyoyo EY-029 is capable of reading a wide range of 1D and 2D barcodes, even those that are damaged, distorted, or printed on challenging surfaces like clear bottles. It supports barcodes with a resolution of 4-mill or more, whether on paper or screen.

4.4 Programmable Features

- Prefix/Suffix Setting: Add custom characters before or after scanned data.
- Case Conversion: Convert English letters in scanned data to uppercase or lowercase.
- Hide Front/Back Characters: Hide up to 8 characters from the beginning or end of scanned data.
- End Character Setting: Define the character that marks the end of a complete data message.
4.5 Sound and Vibration Settings
Adjust the scanner's feedback to your preference. Scan the appropriate barcodes in the user manual to change settings.

- Volume Adjustment: Choose between Low, Medium, or High volume for scan confirmation beeps.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance, regularly clean the scanner's lens and exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
5.2 Durability and Protection
The Eyoyo EY-029 is designed with IP54 level protection, making it resistant to dust and splashing water. It has been drop-tested from 1.5 meters onto concrete ground approximately 6 times, ensuring its robustness in various work environments.

6. Troubleshooting
- Scanner not connecting via Bluetooth/2.4G: Ensure the scanner is in the correct pairing mode (scan the appropriate barcode from the manual). Check your device's Bluetooth settings or ensure the 2.4G dongle is properly inserted.
- No data output: Verify the scanner is successfully connected to your device. Check if the output application (e.g., Notepad, Excel) is active and ready to receive input.
- Incorrect data output: Review programmable features like prefix/suffix, case conversion, and end character settings. Reset to factory defaults if necessary (scan the 'Factory Reset' barcode in the manual).
- Scanner not charging: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the charging base and a power source. Check the power indicator lights on the scanner.
- Scanner not reading barcodes: Ensure the barcode is within the scanner's range and properly illuminated. Check for physical obstructions on the scanner lens. Try different scanning modes.
