- For continuous backlight and optimal display, connect the included USB power cable to the main unit and plug the other end into a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or USB port.
Note: The adjustable and continuous backlight feature requires the main unit to be plugged in via the USB cable. When running on batteries alone, the backlight will only illuminate for 10 seconds after pressing the SNZ/LIGHT button.
3.2 Powering the Outdoor Sensor
- Insert 2 AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment of the wireless outdoor sensor.
- Ensure the channel switch inside the battery compartment is set to Channel 1 (default). If using multiple sensors, set each to a different channel (1, 2, or 3).
3.3 Sensor Pairing
Once both the main unit and the outdoor sensor are powered on, they will automatically attempt to pair. The outdoor temperature and humidity readings should appear on the main unit's display within a few minutes. If pairing fails:
- Ensure the sensor is within range (up to 200ft/60m in an open area).
- Press and hold the "CHANNEL" button on the main unit to initiate a manual search for the sensor.
- Press the "TX" button inside the outdoor sensor's battery compartment to send a signal.
3.4 Initial Settings (Time, Date, C/F)
Refer to the specific buttons on your device (usually labeled "SET", "MODE", "UP", "DOWN") to adjust the following:
- Time and Date: Press "SET" or "MODE" to cycle through settings like year, month, day, hour, minute. Use "UP" and "DOWN" to adjust values.
- Temperature Unit (C/F): Press the "C/F" button (often labeled with a thermometer icon) to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
- 12/24 Hour Format: This setting is usually adjusted during the initial time setup.
3.5 Placement
The weather station offers flexible placement options:
- Main Unit: Use the integrated tabletop stand for desk placement or the eyelet on the back for wall mounting. Place it indoors in a central location, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
- Outdoor Sensor: Mount the sensor in a shaded, dry location outdoors, protected from direct rain and sunlight, to ensure accurate readings. Avoid placing it near metal objects that could interfere with wireless transmission.

5.1 Battery Replacement
- When the battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries in the main unit (3 x AAA) or the outdoor sensor (2 x AAA) as needed.
- Always replace all batteries at the same time with new ones of the same type.
5.2 Cleaning
- Wipe the display and casing with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Keep the device dry.
5.3 Sensor Longevity
To maximize the lifespan and accuracy of your outdoor sensor, ensure it is placed in a location protected from direct weather elements like heavy rain, snow, and intense sunlight.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No display on main unit. | No power or low batteries. | Ensure USB cable is connected or replace AAA batteries. |
| Outdoor readings not displayed or inaccurate. | Sensor out of range, low sensor batteries, or interference. |
|
| Backlight not continuous. | Main unit running on batteries only. | Connect the main unit to a USB power source for continuous backlight. |
| Weather forecast seems incorrect. | Forecast is based on atmospheric pressure changes, not satellite data. | The forecast is an estimation for the next 12-24 hours and may not always match official weather reports. Allow time for the station to calibrate after initial setup. |
