Setup and Assembly
Assembly is straightforward and typically takes about 20 minutes. Follow these steps carefully:
- Attach Casters to Base: Insert each of the five casters into the holes at the end of each leg of the star base. Push firmly until they click into place.
- Install Gas Lift: Place the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the star base.
- Attach Mechanism Plate to Seat: Align the mechanism plate with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the seat cushion. Ensure the front of the mechanism plate faces the front of the seat. Secure with screws provided in the hardware pack.
- Attach Armrests to Seat: Attach the armrests to the sides of the seat cushion using the provided screws. Do not fully tighten yet.
- Attach Backrest to Seat and Armrests: Align the backrest with the seat and armrests. Secure the backrest to the seat and then fully tighten all screws for the armrests and backrest.
- Connect Seat Assembly to Gas Lift: Carefully place the assembled seat onto the gas lift cylinder, ensuring the tapered end of the gas lift fits securely into the mechanism plate.
Once assembled, test all functions to ensure proper operation.
Operating Instructions
Your Okeysen Executive Office Chair offers several adjustable features for personalized comfort:
1. Height Adjustment
To adjust the chair's height, locate the lever on the right side, beneath the seat. Pull the lever upwards while seated to lower the chair, or pull the lever upwards while standing to raise the chair. Release the lever at your desired height. The chair offers approximately 3.2 inches of adjustable height.
2. Tilt and Rocking Function
The chair features a 110° tilt and rocking function. To enable rocking, pull the same lever (used for height adjustment) outwards. To lock the chair in an upright position, push the lever inwards. The tension of the rocking motion can be adjusted by turning the round knob located underneath the seat, towards the front. Turn clockwise to tighten the tension (less rocking effort) or counter-clockwise to loosen it (more rocking effort).
3. Flip-Up Armrests
The armrests can be flipped up by 90 degrees to save space, allowing the chair to be pushed closer to a desk or stored away easily. Simply lift the armrests upwards until they lock into the vertical position. To return them to the down position, gently pull them down.
4. Lumbar Support Adjustment
Some models may include a lumbar support adjuster. If present, this feature allows you to adjust the pressure on your lower back. Locate the knob or lever on the side or back of the backrest and turn/move it to achieve your preferred level of lumbar support.
5. 360° Swivel
The chair is designed to swivel 360 degrees, providing flexibility and ease of movement in your workspace.
