Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the earplugs and the hearing aid using the provided cleaning brush. Ensure no wax or debris accumulates in the sound hole or on the device.
- Earplug Care: Keep the earplugs clean. If they become damaged or worn, replace them with new ones from the provided set or order replacements.
- Wax Guards: Use the wax guard and tool to prevent earwax from entering and blocking the receiver. Replace wax guards as needed.
- Storage: When not in use, store the hearing aids in their charging case to protect them and keep them charged.
Troubleshooting
Howling/Noise Issues:
The internal amplifier and microphone of hearing aids are in close proximity, which can sometimes lead to howling or feedback, especially in non-full-digital models. To minimize this:
- Volume Adjustment: Always adjust the volume to the minimum before wearing the device, then gradually increase it to avoid sudden loud sounds and howling.
- Earplug Fit: Ensure the earplug is properly inserted and creates an airtight seal in your ear canal. Experiment with different earplug sizes to find the best fit. A slightly larger earplug can help prevent whistling.
- Proper Insertion: After inserting the hearing aid into your ear canal, gently push it with your fingers and hold for 1-2 seconds to ensure it is securely seated and the earplug is matched to the ear canal.
- Cleanliness: Ensure the earplug and sound hole are clean and free from earwax or debris, as blockages can cause feedback.
App Connectivity Issues:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
- Make sure the hearing aids are powered on and within range of your phone.
- If the app link for Android is not working, try searching for "Mirasings" or "IncenSonic Hearing Aid" in your device's app store.
- Restart the app and/or your phone if connection problems persist.
User Tips
- Acclimation Period: During the initial adjustment period, wear the hearing aids for a few hours each day, gradually increasing wear time to full-day use as you acclimate to the amplified sounds.
- Personalized Settings: Utilize the app's 4 listening programs and frequency band adjustments to tailor the sound to your specific hearing needs and environment.
- Battery Management: Keep the charging case charged to ensure your hearing aids are always ready for use, providing 45-60 hours of backup power.
