5.1. Automatic Recognition (AUTO Mode)
The GN703 features intelligent automatic recognition, allowing it to identify the component type (resistance, capacitance, inductance, diode, continuity) and select the appropriate measurement range automatically. Simply make reliable contact with the component using the tweezers.

5.2. Manual Mode and Measurement Functions
You can manually switch between different measurement modes and adjust settings using the 'M' and arrow keys.

- Resistance: Use the AUTO range or manually switch to the resistance range, and ensure the tweezers make reliable contact with the resistor being tested.
- Diode: Switch to the diode range, and ensure the tweezers make reliable contact with the diode. Conduction voltage < 0.7V.
- Capacitance: Use the AUTO range or manually switch to the capacitance range, and ensure the tweezers make reliable contact with the capacitor. Note: Discharge the capacitor before measurement to avoid damaging the instrument.

Figure 9: Capacitance Detection. - Inductance: Use the AUTO range or manually switch to the inductance range, and ensure the tweezers make reliable contact with the inductor being tested.

Figure 10: Inductance Test. - On-off beeping (Continuity): When testing for continuity, a continuous beeping sound will be emitted when the measured value is within the continuity threshold.
5.3. Settings Interface
Long press the 'M' key to enter the settings interface. Here you can adjust system language, volume settings, screen brightness, auto-shutdown, factory reset, and view information about the device.

- Language: Switch between Chinese and English.
- Volume: Adjust the buzzer volume (0-5 gear).
- Backlight (Brightness): Adjust screen brightness (0-100 stepless dimming).
- Auto-Off: Set the automatic shutdown time (Off/5/15/30 minutes).
- Factory Reset: Restore to factory system settings, clearing all parameters.

5.4. Data Hold and Calibration
- Data Hold: Short press the 'HD/Set' button to hold the current data on the screen. Press again to release.
- Calibration: The device supports calibration for accurate measurements. Refer to the on-screen prompts or the full PDF manual for detailed calibration procedures.
5.5. Test Frequencies and Levels
The GN703 supports three test frequencies: 100Hz, 1KHz, and 10KHz, and offers 0.3V/0.6V test levels for comprehensive and accurate measurements.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
- Tweezer Tips: Ensure the tweezer tips are clean and free from debris for accurate contact and measurement.
7. Troubleshooting
- Device not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the device to a USB power source and try again.
- Inaccurate readings: Ensure the tweezer tips are making firm and clean contact with the component. Try calibrating the device if available. Check for any visible damage to the tips.
- Screen not responding: Try restarting the device by long-pressing the power button. If the issue persists, ensure the battery is charged.
- No continuity beep: Verify the device is in continuity mode and that the component is indeed continuous within the threshold.
