4. Setup & Installation

4.1 Mounting the Device

The device features an anti-shake and anti-theft design for secure installation on your motorcycle handlebars. Use the provided mounting brackets and hardware to firmly attach the unit. The detachable design allows you to easily remove the device when not in use to prevent theft.

4.2 Wiring Modes

The device supports two primary wiring modes for power:

  1. Connected to Power Cord: For direct integration with your motorcycle's power system. This typically involves connecting to a 12V power source.
  2. Connected to USB: For power via a USB port, which can be a motorcycle's USB outlet or a portable power bank.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button (location may vary slightly, typically on the side or back) for a few seconds to turn the device on or off. A short press usually controls the screen on/off or standby mode.

5.2 Connecting to CarPlay / Android Auto

The device supports wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. Ensure your smartphone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled. On the device, navigate to the CarPlay or Android Auto section and follow the on-screen prompts to pair with your phone. This will allow you to use your phone's navigation, music, and communication apps directly on the device's screen.

5.3 Bluetooth Connectivity (Dual Channel)

The device features dual-channel Bluetooth, allowing simultaneous connection to your smartphone and a Bluetooth headset. This enables you to receive navigation instructions, listen to music, and make/receive calls through your headset while your phone is connected for CarPlay/Android Auto functionality.

  • Pairing Phone: Go to Bluetooth settings on the device, search for your phone, and pair.
  • Pairing Headset: Go to Bluetooth settings, search for your headset, and pair.
  • Voice Commands: Use voice assistants like Siri (e.g., "Hey Siri, turn on navigation," "Hey Siri, turn on the music") via the built-in microphone.

5.4 Navigation and Media Playback

Once connected via CarPlay or Android Auto, you can access your preferred navigation apps (e.g., Google Maps, Apple Maps) and media players (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music) directly from the device's touch screen. The motorcycle light screen is designed to handle the driving interface, allowing your phone to run its original operations independently.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Due to its IPX7 waterproof rating, the device can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the screen or casing. Ensure all ports are securely closed before cleaning with water.

6.2 Sun Protection

The integrated sunshade cover helps reduce glare and improve screen visibility in direct sunlight. Keep the sunshade clean for optimal performance. The device is designed for use in sunny, high-temperature conditions.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Device not powering on: Check power connections (power cord or USB). Ensure the motorcycle's ignition is on if connected directly.
  • Cannot connect to phone (CarPlay/Android Auto): Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your phone. Restart both the device and your phone. Forget and re-pair the device in your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • No sound from headset: Verify the Bluetooth headset is paired and connected to the device. Check headset volume and device volume settings.
  • Screen glare: Adjust the device's angle and ensure the sunshade cover is properly positioned.
  • Touch screen unresponsive: Restart the device. If the issue persists, contact support.
