5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

  1. Ensure the walkie-talkie is turned off.
  2. Connect the charger to a power outlet.
  3. Insert the lithium battery into the charging base, or connect the charger directly to the walkie-talkie if applicable.
  4. The charging indicator will show the charging status. A full charge takes approximately 180 minutes (3 hours).
  5. Once fully charged, disconnect the charger.

5.2 Attaching Accessories

  1. Antenna: Screw the antenna clockwise into the connector on top of the walkie-talkie until it is secure.
  2. Belt Clip: Align the belt clip with the screw holes on the back of the walkie-talkie and secure it with the provided screws.
  3. Lanyard: Attach the lanyard to the designated loop on the walkie-talkie for easy carrying.
  4. Earphones: Plug the earphones into the headphone jack on the side of the walkie-talkie.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off and Volume Adjustment

Rotate the Power Switch/Volume Control knob clockwise to turn on the walkie-talkie. Continue rotating to increase the volume. Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease the volume and turn off the device.

6.2 Channel Selection

Rotate the Channel Selection Key on top of the walkie-talkie to choose one of the 16 available channels. Ensure all parties communicating are on the same channel.

6.3 Transmitting and Receiving (PTT)

  • To transmit, press and hold the PTT (Push-to-Talk) Transmit Key. Speak clearly into the microphone.
  • Release the PTT key to stop transmitting and return to receive mode.
  • When receiving, the speaker will output the incoming audio.

6.4 Function Keys

  • Function Key 1: A short press activates the multi-function mode. Specific functions may vary or require programming.
  • Function Key 2: A short press activates the monitor function, allowing you to listen to weak signals on the current channel.

6.5 Communication Range

The effective communication range varies depending on the environment:
