Power Bank Capacity/Power Detection Steps:

Step-by-step guide for power bank capacity detection using the USB tester.

Follow these steps to accurately measure power bank capacity.

  1. Fully Charged Preparation: Fully charge the power bank to be tested, ensuring it is in a fully charged initial state.
  2. Correct Connection: Connect the input port of the USB tester to the output port of the power bank. Then, connect the phone charging cable to the output port of the USB tester.
  3. Data Reset: On the USB tester's Figure 1 or Figure 2 interface, press and hold the button to reset the capacity (mAh), energy (Wh), and time to zero.
  4. Discharge Record: Start the load device (such as turning on the phone screen and running applications) to begin discharging, and continue until the power bank is completely depleted and automatically shuts down.
  5. Read Result: After the discharge is complete, the final accumulated capacity (mAh) and accumulated energy (Wh) values displayed on the screen represent the actual usable capacity and energy of the power bank.

6. Maintenance and Calibration

Current Zero Calibration Procedure:

To ensure accurate current readings, perform a current zero calibration:

Step-by-step guide for current zero calibration of the USB tester.

Detailed steps for current zero calibration.

  1. Turn on the tester: Connect the input terminal of the tester to the powered-on charging head, and the screen will automatically light up.
  2. Enter screen-off state: Press the button briefly until the screen enters the screen-off state (completely black with no display).
  3. Enter background mode: While the screen is off, press and hold the button until the screen lights up again, displaying the background calibration interface.
  4. Select the reset item: After entering the background mode, the default position is on the first column. Press the button briefly once to switch to the second column.
  5. Perform no-load zeroing: Press and hold the button to execute zeroing; the current value on the screen will change to 0.000A and automatically jump to the third column.
  6. Exit the background mode: Press the button briefly to switch to Exit, then press and hold the button to exit the background calibration mode.
  7. Calibration completion confirmation: After exiting, the screen will return to Function Interface 1 (the initial measurement interface). At this point, observe the current display value, which should be 0.000A, indicating that the current zero calibration has been completed.

General Care:

  • Keep the device dry and clean.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the device.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Inaccurate Readings after Calibration: If readings are inaccurate after calibration, ensure that during the 'Current Zero Calibration Procedure' (Step 4), you only select the second column for the reset operation. Setting it to any other column will result in inaccurate measurements.
  • Time Not Accumulating: The time displayed on the U-meter only counts when the power is greater than 0.5W. If the power is less than 0.5W, the system will not calculate the accumulated time. This is by design to accurately determine charging time.
  • No Display: Ensure the tester is properly connected to a powered USB port. If the screen remains off, try a different USB port or power source.

9. User Tips

  • For accurate charging time measurement, ensure the power draw is consistently above 0.5W, as the device will not accumulate time below this threshold.
  • When performing current zero calibration, always ensure you are in the correct background mode and select only the second column for the reset operation to avoid inaccurate readings.
  • Utilize the 180-degree screen flip feature for comfortable viewing in any orientation.
  • The power-off memory is a convenient feature; however, it's good practice to note down critical measurements if you anticipate prolonged power interruptions.
