4. Setup and Installation
This section provides general guidance for installing your car stereo. Professional installation is recommended.
4.1 General Installation
The Ezonetronics 7-inch Universal Car Stereo is designed for specific VW, SEAT, and SKODA models. Ensure your vehicle's dashboard is compatible before proceeding.


4.2 Compatible and Incompatible Models
This unit is compatible with a range of Volkswagen, SEAT, and SKODA vehicles. Please refer to the tables below to confirm compatibility. If your factory car radio differs from the pictures listed, contact customer support for verification.



4.3 Rear Interface Description and Wiring
Familiarize yourself with the rear connections of the car stereo before installation.

Wiring Instructions:
- When the yellow line B+ and the red line ACC have a 12V positive power at the same time, the unit can be turned on normally.
- The yellow line B+ keeps the power on and the machine has a memory function.
- 8 speaker cables: each cable cannot be grounded, cannot be shared, and cannot touch other lines. Otherwise, there will be no sound output, sound distortion, machine fever, etc.

4.4 Rear Camera Connection
This device supports CVBS cameras for rear view functionality. The camera is not included in the package.
Camera Connection Method:
- Identify the camera accessories: one camera, one power cord, and one video cable.
- Locate the reverse control line (pink or brown) on the unit's power line. Connect this line to the 12V positive pole of the reverse light. This will trigger the screen to turn blue.
- Connect the camera: The red socket on the camera connects to the power cable. The yellow socket connects to the video cable. The red wire of the power cable and the video cable should be connected to the positive pole of the reverse lamp. The black wire of the power cable is not used.
- Connect the other end of the video cable to the CVBS video input interface on the back of the unit. The red line coming out of the video line is connected to the reversing.
Important Note: If a reversing camera is not installed, do not connect the REVERSE/BACK cable to any place. Leave it unconnected. Connecting it incorrectly can cause display issues or force the unit into reverse mode, potentially damaging the machine. Disconnect immediately if such a situation occurs.
5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Controls and Interface
The unit features a 7-inch HD touch screen and physical buttons for easy navigation.

5.2 Wired CarPlay / Android Auto Connection
CarPlay and Android Auto provide a smart and safe way to use your smartphone while driving, integrating your favorite applications for navigation, communication, and music.
- Plug your phone's USB cable into the USB port of the car stereo.
- Wait for a moment, and the unit will automatically enter CarPlay / Android Auto mode.

5.3 Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto Connection
Please note that not all unit models are equipped with the wireless CarPlay function. Refer to product specifications at the time of purchase for confirmation.
For Wireless CarPlay (iPhone):
- Turn on your iPhone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
- Pair your iPhone with the Bluetooth device named "CarPlay BT" on the car stereo.
- Tap "Pair > Allow > Use CarPlay" on the iPhone pop-up notifications.
- The unit will connect to wireless CarPlay after a few seconds.
For Wireless Android Auto (Android):
- Turn on your Android smartphone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
- Pair your Android phone with the Bluetooth device named "CarPlay BT" on the car stereo.
- Tap "Pair > Allow" on the Android smartphone pop-up notifications.
- The unit will connect to wireless Android Auto after a few seconds.
5.4 PhoneLink (Mirror Link)
PhoneLink allows you to mirror your smartphone's display onto the car stereo screen using the phone's original USB cable.
For iPhone:
- On the car stereo's home screen, click the PhoneLink icon.
- Select "Mirror" mode under the iPhone section.
- Plug your iPhone's USB cable into the USB port of the car stereo.
- Your iPhone screen will be mirrored on the car stereo.
For Android:
- On the car stereo's home screen, click the PhoneLink icon.
- Select "Mirror" mode under the Android section.
- Scan the QR code displayed on the screen to download the necessary APK.
- Follow the prompts to install the APK and grant all necessary permissions on your Android phone.
- Plug your Android phone's USB cable into the USB port of the car stereo.
- Your Android phone screen will be mirrored on the car stereo.

5.5 FM/AM/RDS Radio
The unit features a built-in FM radio receiver with 18 presets.
- On the home screen, click the "Radio" icon to enter the Audio output.
- You can tune to various FM/AM stations.
- Long press a channel for 3 seconds to save it to the bottom bar presets.

5.6 Bluetooth 5.1 Functionality
Connect your phone via Bluetooth for hands-free calls, phonebook access, and music playback.
- On the home screen, click the "BT" icon to enter Bluetooth mode.
- Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone and search for available devices.
- Select the car stereo's Bluetooth name (e.g., "CarPlay BT") to pair.
- Once connected, you can make/receive calls and play music wirelessly.

5.7 USB Media Playback and Charging
The unit features dual USB ports for playing audio/video files from USB disk devices and for charging your phone.
- Insert a USB disk into one of the USB ports.
- On the home screen, click the "USB" or "USB2" icon to access media files.
- You can browse and play music or video files.
- The USB ports also support fast charging for compatible phones.


5.8 Reversing Display
When a compatible rear camera is connected, the unit will automatically display the reversing scene for intuitive and convenient parking.

5.9 Steering Wheel Control
The unit supports original steering wheel control functions, allowing you to adjust volume and other settings for easy operation and safe driving.
Wiring Method:
- Locate the positive pole of the original car steering wheel button control line and connect it to the KEY Line on the machine's output line.
- Locate the negative pole of the original steering wheel button control line and connect it to the ground (power negative) line on the machine's output line.
Learning Method:
- First, long press the function button on the steering wheel, then click the desired function button on the car screen. The key on the screen will remain lit, indicating successful learning.
- If you make a mistake and need to relearn, simply press the reset button and start again.

5.10 EQ Adjustment
The unit provides 10 bands EQ adjustment options, allowing you to fine-tune the sound with strong bass, soft midrange, and bright treble for a transparent stereo sound.

5.11 7 Color Button Lights
Customize the aesthetic of your car stereo with 7 color button lights. Choose your favorite color to match your car's interior or your mood.

5.12 Settings Menu
Access the settings menu to customize various aspects of your car stereo.
On the home screen, click the "Setup" icon to enter the Settings mode.
Basic Setup: Adjust options such as Beep, Reverse Mute, Reverse Track, and Driving Ban Video. If the touch screen is not accurate, use Touch Calibration.
Tuner Region: Adjust the radio area (e.g., China, America, Japanese, Russian, Middle East, Europe, Brazil).
Sound Setup: Access the 10-band EQ adjustment options.
Display Settings: Adjust screen brightness, contrast, hue, and saturation.
Background: Choose your preferred screen background/wallpaper.
ScreenSave: Adjust the duration of the screen saver.

7.1 Wired Mirror Link Function Not Working After CarPlay/Android Auto
Solution: On the car stereo, click the "PhoneLink" icon and ensure you select "Mirror" in the Auto Connect mode.
7.2 CarPlay / Android Auto Not Connecting
Solutions:
- Ensure the CarPlay / Android Auto function is enabled on your phone.
- Verify that the phone data cable is working properly. Try a different cable if necessary.
- Check if the USB port on the car stereo is functioning correctly by plugging in a USB disk and seeing if its contents can be read.
7.3 USB Flash Disk Not Playing / SD Card Slot Issues
Solutions:
- USB Flash Disk Not Playing: Format the USB flash disk to FAT32. Re-download one or two songs and try again. If it still doesn't work, replace the USB flash drive.
- SD Card Slot Not Entering Card: Check whether the memory card is inserted correctly and if the plug is broken.
7.4 No Display of Reversing Video

- Ensure the camera cable is properly connected to the unit's head cable.
- Confirm that your camera is CVBS-compatible, as this unit only supports CVBS cameras.
