4. Operating Instructions

4.1 RTK Principle

RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) is a differential positioning technique that utilizes GPS. A ground base station receives satellite positioning data and calculates the difference between the GPS positioning and the real position. This error is then transmitted via GPRS to the mobile station (your WTRTK-960 module), which uses it to correct its own positioning data, resulting in highly accurate, centimeter-level results.
