1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, setup, and operation of your LS VISION 4K 8MP Dual-Lens Solar PTZ Camera. This advanced surveillance camera features dual lenses, 99X zoom, solar power, and intelligent AI humanoid detection for comprehensive outdoor monitoring. Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure proper functionality and safety.

5. Installation

The camera can be installed in an integrated manner (solar panel attached directly to the camera) or separated (solar panel mounted remotely with an extension cable).

5.1. Integrated Installation

It is recommended to install the camera at a height of approximately 2.6 meters for optimal coverage.

1. **Assemble Solar Panel (if separate):** If your solar panel is not pre-attached, splice the two solar panel parts together (if applicable), then fix the iron plates with special screws under the panel.
2. **Mount Universal Bracket:** Install the universal bracket at the desired location, ensuring it has the right angle for solar exposure.
3. **Connect Solar Panel to Camera:** Connect the solar panel to the camera and fix it securely with screws.
4. **Insert TF Card and SIM Card:** Open the silicon flap. Carefully insert the TF card (up to 256GB, preferably LS VISION branded for compatibility) and the SIM card (for 4G models). Ensure the flap is securely closed to prevent rain leakage.
5. **Connect Power Cables:** Ensure both the camera power cable and the solar panel power cable are securely connected.

5.2. Separated Installation (Optional)

For separated installation, you will need an additional bracket and a 3-meter extra power cable (not standard configuration, may be sold separately).

1. Mount the camera and solar panel separately using their respective brackets.
2. Connect the solar panel to the camera using the 3-meter extension power cable.
3. Follow steps 4 and 5 from the integrated installation for TF/SIM card insertion and power cable connections.

6. App Installation and Registration (UBox App)

The camera operates with the UBox mobile application.

6.1. Download and Install the App

Scan the QR codes below or search for "UBox" in the App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android smartphones) to download and install the app.

6.2. App Registration

1. Open the UBox app.
2. Enter your E-mail address and press 'Register'.
3. Read and agree to the User Agreement and Privacy Policy.
4. A verification code will be sent to your E-mail. Check your spam folder if you don't receive it.
5. Input the "Verification code" into the app and press 'Next'.
6. Set a login password (8-32 characters, combination of English letters and numbers). Confirm the password.
7. Press 'Register' to complete.
8. Log in using your registered E-mail and password.
9. For optimal user experience, please allow all requested permissions for the app to avoid missing notifications.

7. Connecting the Camera

After app registration, you need to add your camera to the UBox app.

1. In the app, press 'Add Family' and set a room or position for the camera.
2. Enter your family name and press 'Next'.
3. Input necessary information like Country and Province, then press 'Done'.
4. Press 'Add a device' to begin adding your smart camera.
5. Ensure the camera is powered on. Wait approximately 1 minute for the camera's blue LED to light up. If the blue LED does not light up, refer to the troubleshooting section.
6. Find the UID QR code on the camera device itself.
7. Use the UBox app to scan the UID QR code.
8. The app will search for the device on the network (this may take 5-60 seconds).
9. Once found, select the device name and location, then press 'Done'.
10. The device will automatically appear in your device list. Setup is complete, and the device is ready to use.

8. Device Settings and Operation

Access and manage your camera's features through the UBox app.

8.1. Main Interface Overview

• **Device List:** Select your camera from the list to view its live feed and access settings.
• **Preview Section:** Tap to enter the live video feed.
• **Full Screen Play:** Tap the icon to switch to full-screen video.
• **Screenshot:** Capture still images from the live feed, saved to your phone's album.
• **Manual Recording:** Manually record video clips.
• **Voice:** Mute/unmute audio from the camera.

8.2. Camera Controls

• **Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) Control:** The camera can rotate 355° horizontally (pan) and 100° vertically (tilt). Use the PTZ controls in the app to adjust the viewing angle and utilize the 99X optical zoom.

  

  

• **Two-Way Intercom:** Equipped with a built-in microphone and speaker, allowing real-time communication with people near the camera.

  

8.3. Detection and Tracking

• **PIR + AI Humanoid Detection:** The camera features passive infrared (PIR) and AI-powered humanoid detection with a range of up to 12 meters. An alarm will sound when a pedestrian is detected. Alarm deployment time can be configured in settings.

  

• **Automatic Tracking:** Enable humanoid detection and tracking in the app. The camera will automatically track and amplify the view of detected human figures.

  

8.4. Night Vision

• **Full Color Night Vision:** In black and white mode, when the camera detects a moving object, it will automatically turn on the white light and switch to full-color night vision mode. Infrared mode is also available. IR distance is 40 meters.

  

8.5. Storage and Playback

• **TF Card Storage:** Supports TF card storage for video recording (up to 256GB).
• **Cloud Storage:** Cloud storage is available via a paid subscription. The camera includes one month of free cloud storage.

  

• **Video Playback:** Use the "Calendar" icon in the app to select a date and view recorded videos from cloud storage.

8.6. Other Settings

• **Smart Device Basic Settings:** Configure Storage management, Flip screen, Environmental model, PIR detection sensitivity, Sleep time, Power frequency, LED indicator, and Device name.
• **Device Information:** Check details like Device name, ID, Model, FW version, and Manufacturer. You can also check for FW updates.
• **Multi-User Remote Access:** The camera feed can be shared with other users through the mobile app.

  

• **Cloud Service & AI Features:** Check and purchase additional cloud services or AI Cloud Facial Recognition features.
• **My Friends:** Manage friends list and permissions.
• **Common Settings:** Adjust default voice and resolution for devices.

If you encounter issues with your camera, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• **Blue LED not lighting up after power on (4G models):**
  • Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted.
  • Verify that the SIM card is valid and has sufficient data traffic.
  • Check if there is a normal 4G signal in the current location.
  • Confirm that the camera's antenna is properly installed.
• **Poor Wi-Fi signal or connection issues:**
  • Keep the device within range of your Wi-Fi router.
  • Avoid placing thick or insulated objects between the camera and the router, as this can weaken the Wi-Fi signal.
  • Ensure the Wi-Fi signal strength is good before initial setup.
• **Short battery life:**
  • Battery life is affected by the device's wake-up time and the number of wake-ups.
  • In environments with frequent pedestrian movement, consider setting the PIR detection sensitivity to "Disabled" or "Low" in the app settings to reduce unnecessary wake-ups and conserve battery.
  • Charge the battery immediately when it is low.
• **Not receiving push notifications (for users in Mainland China):**
  • You may need to enable the UBox app's self-starting function in your phone's settings to receive push messages, as Google's system push messages may not be received.
• **Cloud storage trial expired:**
  • The camera includes one month of free cloud storage. To continue using cloud storage services after the trial period, you will need to purchase a subscription within the UBox app.

• **Optimize Battery Life:** Adjust PIR sensitivity to "Low" or "Disabled" in high-traffic areas to minimize false alarms and extend battery life.
• **Strong Signal:** For reliable performance, ensure your camera is installed in an area with strong Wi-Fi or 4G signal coverage.
• **Regular Charging:** Although solar-powered, monitor battery levels, especially during prolonged cloudy periods, and charge via USB if needed.
• **Secure Installation:** Mount the camera securely at the recommended height (approx. 2.6m) for optimal field of view and detection.
• **App Permissions:** Grant all necessary permissions to the UBox app on your mobile device to ensure full functionality and timely notifications.
