2. Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up your BMAX B4 Ultra Mini PC.
2.1 Package Contents
Ensure all items are present in the package:
- BMAX B4 Ultra Mini PC
- Power Adapter
- HDMI Cable
- User Manual (this document)
- Mounting Bracket (optional, check packaging)
2.2 Connecting Peripherals
- Connect Display: Connect your monitor(s) to the HDMI 2.1 ports or the Type-C port using appropriate cables. The Mini PC supports dual 4K@60Hz displays.
- Connect Keyboard and Mouse: Plug your USB keyboard and mouse into the available USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 ports.
- Connect Network: For a wired connection, plug an Ethernet cable into the Gigabit Ethernet port. For wireless, ensure your WiFi network is available.
- Connect Audio: If using external speakers or headphones, connect them to the 3.5mm headphone jack.

2.3 Powering On
- Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the DC-in power jack on the Mini PC, then plug the adapter into a power outlet.
- Power Button: Press the power button located on the front of the device. The power indicator light will illuminate.
- Initial Setup: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Windows 11 Pro initial setup.
2.4 Wall Mounting (Optional)
The BMAX B4 Ultra supports VESA mounting for convenient placement behind a monitor or on a wall.
- Attach the provided mounting bracket to the VESA holes on the back of your monitor or desired surface using screws.
- Slide the Mini PC onto the bracket until it clicks securely into place.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Operating System
Your BMAX B4 Ultra comes with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. It also supports Linux distributions like Ubuntu, offering flexibility for various computing needs.

3.2 Display Configuration
The Mini PC supports connecting up to two external displays simultaneously via its HDMI 2.1 ports or Type-C port, with resolutions up to 4K@60Hz. You can configure display settings within Windows (Right-click Desktop > Display settings) to extend or duplicate your desktop.
3.3 BIOS Access
To access the BIOS settings, reboot the Mini PC and repeatedly press the "Delete" key during startup until the BIOS menu appears.
3.4 Smart Recovery (Factory Reset)
The device includes a Smart Recovery environment to reset your Windows installation to factory settings. This can be useful for resolving software issues or preparing the device for a new user.

Note: Performing a factory reset will erase all data on the system drive. Ensure you back up any important files before proceeding.
4. Maintenance and Upgrades
4.1 Cleaning
- Keep the Mini PC clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning the exterior.
- Ensure ventilation holes are not obstructed to prevent overheating.
4.2 Storage Expansion
The BMAX B4 Ultra features dual M.2 SSD slots, supporting both M.2 SATA SSDs and M.2 NVMe SSDs, allowing for easy storage expansion.

Caution: Opening the device to install or replace components may void your warranty. Consult with BMAX support or a qualified technician if you are unsure.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Common Issues and Solutions
- No display output:
- Ensure the monitor is powered on and correctly connected to the Mini PC.
- Try a different HDMI or Type-C cable.
- Verify the correct input source is selected on your monitor.
- Slow Internet browsing or video playback:
- Check your broadband internet speed and connection stability.
- Ensure your WiFi signal is strong, or use a wired Ethernet connection.
- Close unnecessary applications running in the background.
- System unresponsive:
- Press and hold the power button for 5-10 seconds to force a shutdown, then restart the device.
- If issues persist, consider using the Smart Recovery feature to perform a factory reset (backup data first).
- Cannot enter BIOS:
- Ensure you are pressing the "Delete" key repeatedly and quickly immediately after powering on or restarting the Mini PC.
