4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
- Insert the battery, ensuring the correct orientation.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
- Charge the battery using the provided USB cable and a compatible power adapter (not included).
4.2. Memory Card Insertion
The camera supports MicroSD/TF cards up to 128GB. A Class 10 or higher speed rating is recommended for optimal performance, especially when recording 5K video.
- Locate the memory card slot on the side of the camera.
- Insert the MicroSD card with the gold contacts facing the front of the camera until it clicks into place.
- To remove, gently push the card until it springs out.
4.3. Using the Waterproof Case
The included waterproof case allows the camera to be used up to a depth of 30 meters. Ensure the camera is properly sealed within the case before any underwater use.
- Open the latch on the waterproof case.
- Carefully place the Ourlife M40R camera inside the case.
- Close the latch firmly to ensure a watertight seal.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power On/Off
- To power on: Press and hold the Power/Mode button for a few seconds.
- To power off: Press and hold the Power/Mode button again until the screen turns off.
5.2. Basic Operation and Modes
Navigate through modes and settings using the 2.0-inch IPS touch screen. Swipe and tap to select options.

5.3. Video and Photo Capture
- **Video Recording:** Select video mode, then press the Shutter button to start/stop recording. The camera supports up to 5K@30fps.
- **Photo Capture:** Select photo mode, then press the Shutter button to take a picture. The camera captures photos up to 24MP.

- Normal Video (30FPS): 20 seconds in advance
- Normal Video (30FPS with EIS): 10 seconds in advance
- Normal Video (60FPS): 10 seconds in advance
