4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
  2. Insert the battery, ensuring the correct orientation.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
  4. Charge the battery using the provided USB cable and a compatible power adapter (not included).

4.2. Memory Card Insertion

The camera supports MicroSD/TF cards up to 128GB. A Class 10 or higher speed rating is recommended for optimal performance, especially when recording 5K video.

  1. Locate the memory card slot on the side of the camera.
  2. Insert the MicroSD card with the gold contacts facing the front of the camera until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, gently push the card until it springs out.

4.3. Using the Waterproof Case

The included waterproof case allows the camera to be used up to a depth of 30 meters. Ensure the camera is properly sealed within the case before any underwater use.

  1. Open the latch on the waterproof case.
  2. Carefully place the Ourlife M40R camera inside the case.
  3. Close the latch firmly to ensure a watertight seal.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

  • To power on: Press and hold the Power/Mode button for a few seconds.
  • To power off: Press and hold the Power/Mode button again until the screen turns off.

5.2. Basic Operation and Modes

Navigate through modes and settings using the 2.0-inch IPS touch screen. Swipe and tap to select options.

5.3. Video and Photo Capture

  • **Video Recording:** Select video mode, then press the Shutter button to start/stop recording. The camera supports up to 5K@30fps.
  • **Photo Capture:** Select photo mode, then press the Shutter button to take a picture. The camera captures photos up to 24MP.

5.4. 6-Axis Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS)

The advanced 6-axis EIS technology ensures steady and smooth videos, even during dynamic activities. EIS is supported for resolutions up to 4K@60fps/30fps, 2.7K@60fps/30fps, 1080P@60fps/30fps, and 720P@60fps/30fps.

5.5. 5X Digital Zoom

5.7. Remote Control

Use the exclusive 2.4GHz remote control to operate the camera from up to 10 meters away, allowing for convenient photo taking and video recording without directly touching the camera.

5.8. Pre-Record Mode

Activate "Pre Record" mode to capture video in advance of pressing the shutter button. This ensures you don't miss crucial moments. Pre-recording times vary:

  • Normal Video (30FPS): 20 seconds in advance
  • Normal Video (30FPS with EIS): 10 seconds in advance
  • Normal Video (60FPS): 10 seconds in advance
  • Normal Video (60FPS with EIS): 5 seconds in advance

5.9. Wi-Fi Connectivity and App

The camera supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi for wireless transmission. Download the "SupCam Pro" app to your mobile phone to connect to the camera, view materials, and share them instantly.
