4.11 Stopwatch Function
The integrated stopwatch function is useful for timing activities during outdoor sports like climbing, running, or swimming.

5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the radio's exterior. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid overcharging and fully discharging the battery frequently. Store the radio and battery in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
- Water Resistance: While the UV-20 is IP54 life waterproof, ensure all port covers are securely closed to maintain water resistance. Avoid submerging the radio in water.
- Antenna: Do not bend or modify the antenna, as this can affect performance.

8. User Tips
- For optimal range, ensure you have a clear line of sight to the other radio, especially in open areas. Obstacles like buildings and dense foliage can reduce communication distance.
- Regularly check battery levels, especially before extended outdoor use, to ensure uninterrupted communication.
- Experiment with different squelch levels to find the best balance between eliminating background noise and receiving weak signals in your specific environment.
- When using the VOX function, adjust the sensitivity to prevent accidental transmissions from ambient noise or to ensure your voice is consistently picked up.
