- Wireless Phone Mirroring over Wi-Fi doesn't consume mobile data.
- For the best mirroring experience, enable the Automatic Screen Rotation of your smartphone. (Some apps may not support landscape mode.)
- On smartphones with curved screens, black edges may appear around the display. This is caused by the phone's firmware, not the A5L or Zlink6 app.
8. DriveChat App (AI Voice Assistant)
The A5L Android head unit comes pre-installed with the DriveChat application, an innovative AI voice assistant powered by SSHub and ChatGPT. This DriveChat enables users to control the A5L Android head unit via voice commands and interact with multiple AI chatbots.
8.1. Introduction to DriveChat & SSHub App
- DriveChat Functionality: Enables voice commands for controlling A5L Android head unit functions (e.g., music playback, navigation) and offers interaction with various AI chatbots for information or assistance.
- SSHub Companion App (Required): You must use your smartphone to download and use the SSHub app (available on the App Store/Google Play) for:
- Creating and managing your required ATOTO account.
- Configuring DriveChat settings (e.g., wake words).
- Syncing settings between your phone and the A5L Android head unit.
- Managing potential paid features or premium AI models for DriveChat (check within the SSHub app for details).
- Potential Costs: Be aware that using certain advanced DriveChat features or specific AI models may require purchases managed through the SSHub app.
8.2. Setting Up DriveChat (Account & Wake Words Configuration)
Overall Process: Download SSHub app -> Create/Login ATOTO Account -> Download and Access DriveChat (Link A5L to SSHub Account via QR Scan) -> Set Wake Words.
Operation Steps (Step 1: Download & sign in to SSHub)
- Download the SSHub App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Open SSHub, then sign in with your existing account or create a new one if you don't have one. Make sure you are successfully signed in before proceeding.
Operation Steps (Step 2: Download and Access DriveChat App (Link A5L to SSHub Account via QR Code Scan))
- By default, the DriveChat app comes pre-installed on the A5L Android head unit. If it is not pre-installed, please download it via FindApps, the built-in app management tool on the A5L.
- On the A5L Android head unit, enable the DriveChat app.

- On your smartphone, open the SSHub app, tap Scan Now, and scan the QR code displayed on the A5L's DriveChat interface to link your SSHub account with DriveChat.
- After linking, go to Mine(bottom tab) → My Devices → [Select your A5L] → Device Name → Edit device name(enter a name)→ Confirm to rename your device.
Operation Steps (Step 3: Set Wake-Up Words)
- In the SSHub app, navigate to the settings of your added A5L device (likely under a "Manage" or "Device Details" section).
- Find the option to set wake-up words, then tap "+ New Wake Word" to start the setup.
- Enter your preferred wake-up word and tap “Start” to begin recording. Repeat this step until a checkmark (√) appears. Then tap “Confirm” to complete the recording. The wake-up word is now saved.
Notes:
- You must set at least two distinct wake-up words: one for voice control commands (e.g., "Hey Mojo") and one for initiating conversations with the Chatbot (e.g., "Hey Piko").
- The DriveChat (AI Voice Assistant) can process only one command or conversation at a time. Please wait for the current interaction to finish before proceeding with the next one.
- DriveChat is better at recognizing the voice of the person who recorded the wake-up word. If multiple people will be using the system, it is recommended that each person records their own wake-up word using their own voice. Avoid using common phrases or names as wake-up words to prevent accidental activation.
- Follow the prompts to choose or customize your wake-up words.
8.3. Using DriveChat (Voice Control & Chatbot)
DriveChat is an A5L Android head unit application that integrates voice interaction and intelligent assistant functions. Its purpose is to allow users to interact with the A5L Android head unit more safely, efficiently, and naturally while driving. Below are the main features and advantages of DriveChat:
- Personalized Wake Words: Each user can record their own custom wake words: for voice control commands (e.g., "Hey Mojo") and for chatbot interaction (e.g., "Hey Piko"). Custom wake words improve accuracy and reduce accidental activations.
- Voice Control of Head Unit Functions: You can control the A5L with simple voice commands. Examples: User: "Hey Mojo, turn on the Radio." DriveChat (Mojo): "Radio turned on for you." User: "Hey Mojo, skip to the next track." DriveChat (Mojo): "Skipping to the next track."
- Conversational Interaction: Use DriveChat as a companion for fun and engagement. Example: User: "Hey Piko, tell me a joke." DriveChat (Piko): "Sure! Why don't scientists trust atoms? Because they make up everything!"
- AI Chatbot for Advice: Use DriveChat as a companion for fun and engagement. Example: User: "Hey Piko, how can I write a compelling novel introduction?" DriveChat (Chatbot - Novelist Mode): "Start with an intriguing question, a vivid description, or a dramatic event..."
8.3.1. Activate DriveChat
By using wake words to activate DriveChat, you can trigger different functions of the system in various scenarios. For example:
- To initiate a simple conversation, say: "Hey Piko, please tell me what the highest mountain in the world is."
- To switch to a professional chatbot role, say: "Hey Mojo, switch to novelist mode," and then receive expert advice on novel writing techniques. In this context, "Hey Mojo" serves as the control wake word. After DriveChat switches to the novelist role, you should use "Hey Piko" to continue the conversation.
Note: "Hey Piko" is used here as an example for dialogue interaction, and "Hey Mojo" as an example for control functions.
8.3.2. Configuring the Chatbot Settings
Before using the chatbot feature of DriveChat on the A5L Android head unit, it is typically necessary to pair and configure it using the pre-installed DriveChat App on the head unit and the SSHub App on your smartphone. The following is the standard setup procedure:
Preparation Requirements: Ensure the following conditions are met:
- The head unit is connected to the internet (via 4G, Wi-Fi, or mobile hotspot).
- The SSHub App is installed and logged in on your smartphone.
