Setup

Follow these steps to assemble your vacuum cleaner before first use:

  1. Attach the Flexible Pipe: Insert the larger end of the flexible pipe into the air intake opening on the main vacuum cleaner unit until it clicks securely into place.
  2. Assemble the Telescopic Tube: Connect the aluminum telescopic tube to the handle end of the flexible pipe. Extend the telescopic tube to your desired length by pressing the release button and pulling the sections apart.
  3. Attach Cleaning Tool: Select the appropriate cleaning tool (e.g., Floor Tip, Slot End) and attach it to the end of the telescopic tube.
  4. Check Filters: Ensure the HEPA filter and sponge filters are correctly installed in the dust container. Refer to the "Maintenance" section for filter placement.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. Press the large power switch on the main unit to turn on the vacuum cleaner.
  2. Adjust Suction Power: Use the air flow adjustment located on the handle to increase or decrease the suction power according to your cleaning needs and surface type.
  3. Using the Floor Tip: The main floor tip features a twisting mechanism and retractable bristles. Extend the bristles for cleaning hard floors and retract them for carpets or rugs.
  4. Using Other Accessories:
    • Slot End 2-in-1: Ideal for narrow gaps, corners, and crevices.
    • Flat Upholstery Tip: Designed for cleaning furniture, curtains, and other fabric surfaces.
    • Brush: Suitable for dusting delicate surfaces or removing stubborn dirt from upholstery.
    • Hard-to-reach Suction: For accessing difficult areas.
  5. Automatic Cable Winding: After use, press the cable winding button on the main unit to automatically retract the power cord.
  6. Power Off: Press the power switch again to turn off the vacuum cleaner. Unplug from the outlet.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Emptying the Dust Container:

  1. Ensure the vacuum cleaner is turned off and unplugged.
  2. Detach the dust container from the main unit.
  3. Locate the flap for easy emptying and release the lock.
  4. Empty the collected dirt and debris into a waste bin.
  5. Close the flap securely and reattach the dust container to the vacuum cleaner.

Cleaning Filters:

The Maltec PRO-4000W features washable HEPA and sponge filters.

  2. Remove the dust container and then carefully remove the HEPA and sponge filters.
  3. Rinse the filters under running water until clean. Do not use detergents.
