5.3. Parameter Settings

Access the 'Parameters Set' menu to customize settings such as battery type (Li-ion/LiFePO4/LTO), number of strings (2-24S), equalization voltage difference, current limits, and equalization start control values. Ensure these parameters match your battery pack specifications for safe and effective operation.

5.4. Equalization Modes and Methods

The D2524 supports both pulse and continuous equalization modes, and can perform charge or discharge equalization.

  • Discharge Equalization: The D2524 actively discharges higher voltage cells to balance them with lower voltage cells. This is useful for reducing voltage differences in a battery pack.
  • Charge Equalization: Requires an external charger (not included) to charge the battery pack. The D2524 monitors and balances cells during the charging process, preventing overcharging of individual cells and ensuring a full, balanced charge.

5.5. Adjusting Equalization Current

The equalization current can be adjusted from 1.2A to 25A. This allows for flexibility based on the battery pack's condition and desired equalization speed. Higher currents are suitable for rapid discharge to reduce voltage in high-capacity packs, while pulse equalization is recommended for high-precision balancing when close to the target voltage.
