6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Basic Measurement
The C2 tester displays essential measurement parameters in real-time, including:
- Voltage (Vbus)
- Current (Ibus)
- Power (W)
- D+ and D- voltages
- C1 and C2 voltages
- Temperature
- Current Fast Charging Protocol Type

Note: Monitor mode requires the powered device to request protocols. Data obtained is for reference only.
6.2. Fast Charge Protocol Detection & Triggering
The C2 supports a wide range of fast charging protocols for both automatic detection and manual triggering.

- Automatic Detection: Perform a one-click scan to identify the fast charging protocols and detailed parameters supported by the connected power supply device.
- Manual Triggering: Manually select a specific fast charging protocol and its corresponding trigger voltage to conduct detailed testing of the power supply device's performance.
Supported protocols include: QC2.0, QC3.0, QC4+, QC5.0, PD2.0, PD3.0, PD3.1, PD3.2, Huawei FCP, Huawei SCP, Samsung AFC, UFCS Integrated Fast Charging, OP-PO-VOOC/SVOOC, MTK-PE, VIVO VFCP, and more.

6.3. Battery Capacity Estimation (Power Bank Mode)
The C2 can estimate the battery capacity of devices like mobile phones, tablets, and power banks.

Calculation: Capacity (Ah) = Wh / (3.7V × (0.8 - 1.0))
- Wh: The statistical value displayed on the tester screen.
- 3.7V: The voltage of a single lithium battery.
- 0.8 - 1.0: Represents the approximate charging efficiency, typically 80%-100%. This range may vary based on brand, model, and usage time.
The Power Bank Mode also eliminates low-load cutoffs and provides an intermittent dummy load for uninterrupted power testing.
6.4. Ripple Measurement
Measure the ripple quality of a power supply voltage with a sampling rate of up to 2M. The display shows the peak-to-peak value (Vp-p) to help assess stability.

6.5. Wire Resistance Measurement
The tester can measure the internal resistance of power supply cables using the pressure difference method, allowing for easy detection of cable quality.

6.6. Cable Detection (E-Marker Identify)
The C2 supports reading chip information from cables, such as E-Marker or Thunderbolt 5, to quickly understand the charging cable's performance and capabilities (e.g., data transfer speed, power delivery capacity).

6.7. Apple Charger SN Code Reading
This feature allows you to read the Serial Number (SN) code of Apple chargers, which can be used to verify their authenticity.

6.8. Offline Recording
The C2 can record data offline, storing up to 10,000 data points in 2 groups, with recording durations ranging from 8 minutes to 99 hours. This data can then be exported for playback and analysis.

6.9. PC Upper Computer Software
Connect the C2 tester to a computer via the Type-C PC-USB In interface to utilize the powerful PC software. This software enables:
- Control of the tester
- Waveform viewing
- Protocol triggering
- Data recording
- Firmware upgrading
The software allows for 1kHz data acquisition, truly reproducing voltage and current details.

Note: USB PD Handshake Protocol Analysis is not supported by the C2 Lite model.
