5. Installation and Setup

5.1 Safety Precautions

  • Ensure all power sources are disconnected before installation.
  • Installation should be performed by qualified personnel.
  • Mount the inverter in a well-ventilated area, away from flammable materials and direct sunlight.
  • Maintain adequate clearance around the inverter for proper airflow.

5.2 Mounting the Inverter

  • Choose a vertical surface strong enough to support the inverter's weight.
  • Use appropriate screws and anchors for secure mounting.

5.3 Wiring Connections

Refer to Figure 3.4 (Rear View with Connections) for terminal locations.

  1. Battery Connection: Connect the battery cables to the BATTERY terminals (+ and -). Ensure correct polarity.
  2. PV Input Connection: Connect the solar panel array cables to the PV IN terminals (+ and -). Verify correct polarity and ensure PV array voltage is within the specified MPPT range.
  3. AC Input Connection: Connect the utility grid AC power to the AC IN (L, N) terminals.
  4. AC Output Connection: Connect your loads to the AC OUT (L, N) terminals.
  5. Grounding: Ensure the inverter is properly grounded using the designated grounding terminal.

Warning: Incorrect wiring can cause damage to the inverter, batteries, or connected appliances, and poses a risk of electric shock. Always double-check all connections before applying power.

6. Operation

6.1 Powering On/Off

  1. To Power On: After all connections are secure, switch on the battery breaker, then the PV array breaker (if applicable), and finally the AC input breaker. Press and hold the power button on the inverter's front panel until the display illuminates.
  2. To Power Off: First, disconnect the AC input by switching off its breaker. Then, disconnect the PV array by switching off its breaker. Finally, disconnect the battery by switching off its breaker. Press and hold the power button on the inverter until the display turns off.

6.2 LCD Display and Settings

The LCD display provides real-time operational status, input/output voltages, battery status, and error codes. Use the control buttons (typically 'Up', 'Down', 'Enter', 'Esc') to navigate through menus and adjust settings such as:

  • Output source priority (Solar first, Utility first, Battery first).
  • Charging source priority (Solar only, Solar and Utility).
  • Battery type and charging parameters.
  • AC input voltage range (UPS mode or Appliance mode).

Refer to the detailed instructions in the full product manual for specific menu navigation and parameter adjustments.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your inverter.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the inverter's exterior and ventilation openings to prevent dust accumulation. Use a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners.
  • Connection Checks: Annually inspect all wiring connections (PV, battery, AC input/output) for tightness and signs of corrosion. Tighten any loose connections.
  • Battery Inspection: Regularly check battery terminals for corrosion and ensure proper ventilation around batteries. Follow battery manufacturer's maintenance guidelines.
  • Environmental Check: Ensure the installation environment remains within specified temperature and humidity ranges.

Caution: Before performing any maintenance, ensure the inverter is completely powered off and disconnected from all power sources.

8. Troubleshooting

This section outlines common issues and potential solutions. For complex problems, contact technical support.

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Inverter does not turn onNo battery connection or low battery voltage.Check battery connections and ensure battery voltage is above the minimum operating level.
No AC outputOverload, short circuit, or inverter in fault mode.Reduce load, check for short circuits, restart the inverter. Check display for error codes.
Battery not charging from PVPV input voltage too low/high, incorrect PV connection, or MPPT fault.Verify PV array voltage is within MPPT range, check PV connections, ensure no shading on panels.
Battery not charging from ACAC input not present, AC input breaker tripped, or charger setting incorrect.Check AC input power, reset AC input breaker, verify AC charger settings on the inverter.
Inverter makes unusual noiseOverload, loose components, or internal fan issue.Reduce load. If noise persists or is excessive, power off and contact support.

9. User Tips

  • Optimize Solar Priority: For maximum energy independence, configure the inverter to prioritize solar power for loads and battery charging.
  • Monitor Battery Health: Regularly check your battery's state of charge and voltage. Proper battery care extends its lifespan.
  • Ventilation is Key: Ensure the inverter's cooling fins and vents are always clear of obstructions to prevent overheating.
  • Load Management: Avoid consistently running the inverter at its maximum rated power to prolong its operational life.
