Setup and Assembly
Before first use, some assembly is required. Follow these steps:
- Handle Assembly: Attach the handle sections securely. The handle is adjustable and foldable for convenience. Ensure all locking mechanisms are engaged.
- Power Cord Connection: Connect the power cord to the device as shown in the diagram. Ensure a secure connection.
- Basket Attachment: The 45L collection basket can be easily attached to the rear of the device. Ensure it is securely hooked in place to collect debris during operation.
- Roller Installation: The MasterLawn-PRO2600 comes with two interchangeable rollers: one for aeration and one for verticulation.
- To change rollers, ensure the device is unplugged.
- Locate the quick roller replacement mechanism (refer to image below).
- Follow the instructions to safely remove the currently installed roller and insert the desired roller (aeration or verticulation).
- Ensure the roller is firmly seated and secured before use.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering On and Off
- Connect the device to a suitable 230-240V / 50Hz power outlet.
- To start, press and hold the safety lock button, then squeeze the operating lever on the handle.
- To stop, release the operating lever. The safety lock will automatically engage.
2. Adjusting Working Depth
The MasterLawn-PRO2600 offers 5-stage working height adjustment:
- Adjustment Range: -12mm / -9mm / -6mm / -3mm / +6mm
Use the adjustment lever (refer to image below) to select the desired depth. Deeper settings (-mm) are for more intensive treatment, while shallower settings (+mm) or higher positions are for lighter work or when the lawn is less neglected.
3. Aeration Function
Aeration involves puncturing the turf to improve oxygen, water, and nutrient supply to the grass roots. This accelerates lawn regeneration and increases resistance to drought.
- Install the aeration roller (tines).
- Set the working depth according to your lawn's needs.
- Push the device steadily across the lawn, ensuring even coverage.
- Frequency: At least twice a year (early spring and late summer/early autumn).
4. Verticulation Function
Verticulation is the process of vertically cutting the sod to remove moss, felt, and dead plant debris. This improves soil permeability and stimulates grass growth.
- Install the verticulation roller (blades).
- Set the working depth. Deeper settings are typically used for verticulation to effectively remove thatch.
- Push the device steadily across the lawn.
- Frequency: Recommended twice a year (spring and autumn).
5. Using the Collection Basket / Bag
- The 45L collection basket can be used to collect moss, felt, and other debris directly during operation, keeping your lawn tidy.
- For larger volumes of debris, the included 120L bag can be used to collect and transport the removed material.
- You may also operate the device without the basket if you prefer to rake and collect debris manually later.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: After each use, disconnect the device from the power supply. Clean the housing, rollers, and collection basket/bag. Remove any grass, soil, or debris. Do not use water directly on electrical components.
- Roller Inspection: Regularly inspect the aeration tines and verticulation blades for wear or damage. Replace rollers if they become dull or broken to ensure optimal performance.
- Storage: The handle is foldable for compact storage. Clean the device thoroughly before storing it in a dry, safe place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Cable Care: Inspect the power cable for any cuts, fraying, or damage before each use. Do not use the device if the cable is damaged.
