3. Setup
3.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge your MSAI T20 AI Translator using the provided Type-C data cable. Connect the cable to the charging port on the device and a compatible USB power adapter.

3.2 Power On/Off and Screen Lock
- Power On: Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds.
- Power Off/Restart: Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds, then select 'Shutdown' or 'Restart' on the screen.
- Unlock/Lock Screen: Short press the Power button.
3.3 Network Connection (WiFi/Hotspot)
For online translation features, the device requires an internet connection.
- Click the Settings button (gear icon).
- Select WLAN.
- Turn on the switch button in the upper right corner.
- Select your desired WiFi network from the list.
- Enter the password and tap 'Join'.
- A network icon will appear on the status bar indicating a successful connection.
Note:
- The translator does not support WiFi networks requiring secondary authentication (e.g., airport WiFi, public WiFi that requires browser login).
- If the WiFi signal is weak, translation timeout may occur. Consider switching to a stronger signal or using a mobile hotspot.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Device Overview and Key Functions

- Power button: On/Off, Screen Lock/Unlock.
- Volume + / Volume -: Adjust audio volume.
- Touchscreen: Navigate menus and input text.
- Translation button A (Red): For speaking Language A.
- Translation button B (Blue): For speaking Language B.
- Back button: Return to the previous screen.
- Camera: For photo translation.
- TF Card Slot: For expandable storage.
- Headphone jack: For 3.5mm headphones.
4.2 Voice Online Translation (160 Languages)
- From the home screen, select the Online Translation icon.
- Tap the language buttons at the top of the screen to select Language A (your language) and Language B (target language).
- Press and hold Translation button A (Red) and speak your phrase. Release the button to hear the translation in Language B.
- To translate from Language B, press and hold Translation button B (Blue) and speak. Release the button to hear the translation in Language A.

4.3 Photo Translation (Online 75 Languages, Offline 53 Languages)
- Select the Photo Translation icon.
- Choose the source and target languages at the top of the screen.
- Point the camera at the text you wish to translate (e.g., a menu, sign).
- Press the camera button to take a photo. The device will process and display the translation.
- You can view translation results in both image and text format.
- Access browsing history by clicking the album icon at the bottom left.

4.4 Offline Translation (15 Core Languages)
The T20 supports offline translation for 15 core languages, including Chinese, English (US), Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic (Saudi), Italian, Portuguese, and Dutch. Ensure these language packs are downloaded when connected to the internet.
- Tap the Offline Translation icon.
- Select Language A and Language B.
- Proceed with voice input as you would for online translation.

4.5 Smart Recording / Recording Transcription & Translation
This feature supports offline transcription of 13 original texts and 115 translated versions.
- Select the Smart Recording icon.
- Choose Language A (recording language) and Language B (translation language).
- Click the red button to start recording.
- Click again to stop and save the recording.
- Historical recordings can be viewed in the lower right corner. Long press a recording to delete or manage.

4.6 Text Translation
- Open the Text Translation function.
- Select the desired source and target languages.
- Enter the text using the on-screen keyboard.
- The translated text will be displayed.

4.7 Simultaneous Interpretation
This feature allows for real-time interpretation during conversations.
- Select the Simultaneous Interpretation icon.
- Press the Translation button (A or B) to start speaking in the indicated language.
- Release the button to stop. The device will automatically stop after one minute if no input is detected.
- A QR code can be generated to share the interpretation with others via their mobile phones.

4.8 Group Chat / Global Chat (138 Languages)
This feature enables multi-user, multi-language group conversations with auto-translation.
- Select the Global Chat icon.
- To create a new chat, click 'Create' and note your ID.
- To join an existing chat, enter the ID provided by another party.
- Once connected, two or more devices can achieve synchronized translation during the conversation.

4.9 Mobile Translation (Cross-Platform Sync)
Connect your translator to mobile applications for real-time translation.
- Open the Mobile Translation function.
- Scan the QR code displayed on the translator with your mobile phone (e.g., using Chrome, PayPal, WeChat).
- Once connected, you can translate between your mobile phone and the translator.
4.10 ChatGPT Integration
The device integrates ChatGPT for intelligent Q&A and creative conversations.
- Select the ChatGPT icon.
- Log in to your ChatGPT account.
- Engage in conversations or use it for text polishing and creative writing.
- Long press on usage records to share via QR code.

4.11 Language Learning / Oral Learning
Improve your pronunciation and fluency with the language learning features.
- Select the Language Learning icon.
- Choose Language A (your language) and Language B (language to learn).
- Press and hold the A language key to speak. The device will automatically translate to Language B.
- For pronunciation practice, select the Oral Learning icon. Follow the prompts to speak sentences, and the device will score your pronunciation against a standard.

4.12 Word Bank / Vocabulary Learning
Access comprehensive vocabulary databases for various educational levels.
- Select the Word Bank icon.
- Browse vocabulary lists from primary school to GRE levels (including postgraduate exams, IELTS, TOEFL, SAT).
- All vocabulary is available for offline lookup.

6.2 Device Cannot Enter Homepage / Cannot Shut Down
- If the device is unresponsive, perform a forced restart by pressing and holding the Power button for 15 seconds. The device should then restart normally.
