Setup and Initial Use

1. Initial Winding

As an automatic mechanical watch, the OUPINKE 3278 is powered by the movement of your wrist. However, for initial use or if the watch has stopped, it requires manual winding:

  1. Ensure the crown is in its normal, pushed-in position.
  2. Turn the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will provide enough power for the watch to start running and build up a power reserve.

2. Setting the Time

  1. Gently pull the crown out to the outermost position.
  2. Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
  3. Once set, push the crown back into its normal position.

3. Setting Date, Day, Month, and Year

The watch features multiple subdials for displaying the date, day of the week, month, and year. These are adjusted using the crown and dedicated buttons:

  • **Month Button**: Press to advance the month subdial.
  • **Date Button**: Press to advance the date subdial.
  • **Year Button**: Press to advance the year subdial.
  • **Day Subdial**: Automatically advances with the time.

Adjust these settings carefully to ensure accuracy. Avoid adjusting the date/day/month between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this is when the watch's internal mechanisms are engaged in changing the date, and manual adjustment can cause damage.

4. Wearing the Watch

The watch features a stainless steel bracelet with a Push Button Hidden Clasp. To wear, open the clasp, place the watch on your wrist, and secure the clasp until it clicks into place. The bracelet can be adjusted by a professional watchmaker to fit your wrist size.

Operating Your Watch

Automatic Self-Wind Movement

The OUPINKE 3278 is equipped with an automatic self-wind mechanical movement. This means the watch is powered by the natural motion of your arm. When worn regularly, the rotor inside the watch winds the mainspring, eliminating the need for batteries. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it may stop and require manual winding to restart.

Luminous Display

The watch features luminous elements on the hands and hour markers. These elements absorb light during the day and emit a soft green glow in low-light conditions, allowing for easy readability in the dark.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To maintain the watch's appearance, wipe it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For the stainless steel bracelet, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by drying thoroughly.

Water Resistance (50M / 5 Bar)

The OUPINKE 3278 watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters (5 Bar). This rating means it is suitable for daily use, such as hand washing, splashes, and light rain. It is not recommended for swimming, diving, or showering with hot water, as extreme temperature changes or prolonged exposure to water pressure can compromise the seals.

Storage

When not wearing the watch, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong magnetic fields, which can affect the accuracy of mechanical movements.

Troubleshooting

Watch Not Running

If your automatic watch stops running, it likely needs to be wound. Wear the watch regularly, or manually wind it by turning the crown clockwise 30-40 times to build up the power reserve.

Incorrect Time/Date

If the time or date displays incorrectly, refer to the 'Setup and Initial Use' section to re-adjust the settings using the crown and dedicated buttons. Ensure adjustments are not made during the automatic date change period (9 PM - 3 AM) to prevent damage.
