5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the cage and its components. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Inspection: Regularly check all screws and connections to ensure they are tight. Loose components can lead to instability or damage.
  • Storage: Store the camera cage kit in a clean, dry environment, away from extreme temperatures and humidity, when not in use.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Cage not fitting correctly: Double-check that you have the correct cage model for your Sony FX2 camera. Ensure no obstructions are preventing proper alignment.
  • Loose components: Re-tighten all screws. If screws repeatedly come loose, consider using a small amount of non-permanent thread locker (e.g., Loctite Blue 242) on the threads, but exercise caution and follow product instructions.
  • Accessories not mounting: Verify that you are using the correct mounting points (e.g., 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 threads) for your accessories.
