5. Assembly and Setup

5.1 Battery Installation and Charging

  1. To install the battery, align the 21V Li-Ion battery with the battery slot on the tool handle and push it firmly until it clicks into place.
  2. To charge the battery, connect the 230V AC charger to a standard wall outlet. Then, connect the charger to the battery. The charging indicator on the battery will show its status.
  3. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use and after each work session for optimal performance.

5.2 Blade Installation and Replacement

The MasterHedge-500W features a rapid blade replacement system that does not require additional tools.

  1. Safety First: Always remove the battery from the tool before attempting to change blades.
  2. Locate the blade release mechanism, typically a button or lever, on the tool head.
  3. Press the release mechanism and carefully remove the currently installed blade.
  4. Select the desired blade (129mm grass blade or 220mm shrub/hedge blade).
  5. Align the new blade with the mounting points on the tool head and push it firmly until it clicks securely into place. Ensure it is properly seated.

5.3 Adjusting the Head Angle

The tool's swivel head can be adjusted up to 45 degrees (5-stage adjustment) to optimize the cutting angle for various tasks.

  1. Install the 220mm shrub/hedge blade.
  2. Adjust the head angle up to 45 degrees as needed for comfortable and precise cutting of different hedge shapes and heights.
  3. Hold the tool firmly and move it smoothly across the branches. The tool can cut branches up to 40mm in diameter with the long blade.

6.4 Working Speed

The tool operates at a no-load speed of 0-8500 rpm, providing quick and precise cutting for various plant types.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

  1. After each use, ensure the battery is removed.
