Introduction
Thank you for choosing the DMK Lingjie Elite Spinning Reel. This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your new fishing reel. Designed with a lightweight magnesium alloy body, a tight winding system, and a maze waterproof structure, the Lingjie Elite offers exceptional performance and durability for various fishing conditions.

1. Product Components
Familiarize yourself with the key components of your Lingjie Elite Spinning Reel:

- Drag Adjustment Knob: Located on top of the spool, used to control the drag tension.
- All-Metal Slant-Mouth Spool: Designed for smooth line release and long casting.
- TPE Grip Pills: Ergonomically designed for comfortable and non-slip handling.
- Titanium Alloy Integrated Line Guide: Reduces friction and tangling during casting and retrieval.
- Carbon Fiber Spool & Cover: Lightweight and durable components.
- Magnesium Alloy Main Body: Provides high rigidity and lightweight performance.
- Aluminum Alloy Rocker Arm: Durable and strong for efficient retrieval.
2. Setup
2.1 Attaching the Reel to a Fishing Rod
- Align the reel foot with the reel seat on your fishing rod.
- Slide the reel foot into the fixed hood of the reel seat.
- Tighten the screw-down hood until the reel is securely fastened to the rod. Ensure there is no wobble.

2.2 Spooling Fishing Line
- Open the bail arm.
- Tie the fishing line to the spool using an arbor knot or similar secure knot. Trim any excess tag end.
- Close the bail arm.
- Hold the line firmly between your thumb and forefinger about 12-18 inches from the reel.
- Begin reeling slowly, ensuring the line is winding onto the spool evenly and tightly.
- Fill the spool to about 1/8 inch from the rim. Overfilling can cause tangles and casting issues.
2.3 Adjusting the Drag System
The Lingjie Elite features a Smooth Drag Adjustment System. The drag adjustment knob is located on the top of the spool. Turn it clockwise to increase drag tension and counter-clockwise to decrease it. Set the drag before fishing by pulling line directly from the spool. A good starting point is typically 25-30% of your line's breaking strength.

3. Operating the Reel
3.1 Casting
- Hold the rod and reel comfortably.
- Open the bail arm with your non-reeling hand.
- Use your index finger to hold the line against the rod.
- Bring the rod back over your shoulder, then swiftly cast forward, releasing the line with your index finger as the rod reaches the 10 o'clock position.
- Close the bail arm manually or by turning the handle once the lure hits the water.
3.2 Retrieving
Turn the reel handle to retrieve your line. The Lingjie Elite's Tight Winding System significantly reduces resistance when line is released and ensures a more compact line retrieval. This system, featuring brass material spiral teeth and a super hard aluminum alloy precision carved tooth disc, ensures neat line alignment on the spool and improves casting feel.

3.3 Anti-Tangling Device
The reel is equipped with a Shark Fin Anti-Tangling Device, a component near the line guide that effectively suppresses and reduces the problem of line falling below the spool or tangling into the spool, providing a more comfortable fishing experience.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
- After each use, especially in saltwater, rinse the reel with fresh water. Do NOT submerge the reel.
- Wipe the reel dry with a soft cloth.
- Use a cotton swab or soft brush to clean hard-to-reach areas.
4.2 Lubrication
Periodically apply a small amount of reel oil to moving parts such as the handle knob, bail arm pivot points, and line roller. Use reel grease on gears if you disassemble the reel (recommended for experienced users only). The reel features 10+1 double-sealed stainless steel bearings for smooth operation and corrosion resistance.

4.3 Waterproof Design
The Lingjie Elite incorporates a Maze Waterproof Structure and waterproof rings applied to the body, mating surfaces, spool, and drag knob contact areas. This design provides non-contact splash-proof protection and high durability even in harsh seawater conditions. While designed to be water-resistant, it is still recommended to dry the reel thoroughly after exposure to water to prolong its lifespan.

5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Line Tangling or Uneven Spooling
- Cause: Overfilled spool, improper line tension during spooling, or worn line.
- Solution: Remove some line if overfilled. Respool the line with consistent tension. Inspect your line for damage and replace if necessary. Ensure the line guide is clean and free of obstructions.
5.2 Stiff or Grinding Retrieve
- Cause: Lack of lubrication, dirt/debris in gears, or damaged bearings.
- Solution: Clean and lubricate the reel. If the issue persists, internal inspection by a qualified technician may be required.
5.3 Drag Slipping or Sticking
- Cause: Drag washers are dry, dirty, or worn.
- Solution: Disassemble the drag system (if comfortable) and clean the washers. Apply a thin layer of drag grease if needed. If washers are worn, they may need replacement.

7. User Tips
- Line Selection: Choose a fishing line appropriate for your target species and fishing conditions. Refer to the line capacity specifications for optimal performance.
- Drag Setting: Always check your drag setting before casting. A properly set drag prevents line breakage and helps tire out fish effectively.
- Casting Technique: Practice your casting technique to maximize distance and accuracy, taking advantage of the reel's long cast design.
- Storage: Store your reel in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight. Loosen the drag completely before storing to prevent compression of the drag washers.
