3. Setup

3.1 Connectivity Modes

The LINGBAO K87 Pro supports three connection modes:

Wired Connection (Type-C): Connect the keyboard directly to your computer using the provided USB-A to USB-C cable. This ensures stable transmission and continuous online operation.
2.4G Wireless Connection: Insert the 2.4G wireless receiver into an available USB port on your computer. The keyboard will automatically connect. The receiver is often magnetically stored within the keyboard for convenience.
Bluetooth 5.0 Wireless Connection: The keyboard supports switching between up to three Bluetooth devices. Refer to the operating instructions for pairing and switching between devices.

3.2 Initial Charging

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the keyboard using the provided USB-A to USB-C cable. The keyboard features a large capacity battery (8000mAh or 10000mAh depending on the version).

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Switching Connectivity Modes

The keyboard allows seamless switching between its three connection modes. Specific key combinations for switching are usually indicated on the keyboard or in the quick start guide. Typically, a dedicated switch or an FN key combination is used to toggle between Wired, 2.4G, and Bluetooth modes.

4.2 Backlight Control

4.3 Driver Software (Windows Only)

The LINGBAO K87 Pro utilizes a self-developed driver for advanced customization. This driver, compatible with Windows operating systems, allows for:

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To maintain your keyboard's appearance and functionality:

Use the provided dust cover when the keyboard is not in use to prevent dust accumulation.
Gently wipe the keycaps and keyboard body with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
For deeper cleaning, remove keycaps using the keycap puller and clean underneath.

5.2 Hot-Swapping Switches

The LINGBAO K87 Pro features a single-key slotted PCB that supports full key hot-plugging, allowing you to easily swap out mechanical switches without soldering. This makes it compatible with multiple switches, enabling free customization.

To replace a switch:

Carefully remove the keycap using the keycap puller.
Use the switch puller to gently grasp the switch from its top and bottom clips and pull it straight up.
Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and press it down firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure the pins are not bent.
Replace the keycap.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Keyboard Not Responding

Wired Mode: Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable.
2.4G Wireless Mode: Ensure the USB receiver is properly inserted and the keyboard is in 2.4G mode. Check battery level.
Bluetooth Mode: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the keyboard is paired. Try re-pairing the keyboard. Check battery level.

6.2 Backlight Not Working/Incorrect

Ensure the backlight is not turned off or set to a very dim level using the FN key combinations.
If using the driver software, check settings for any custom profiles that might be overriding the effects.

6.3 Keys Not Registering

If a specific key is not working, try hot-swapping the switch for that key with one of the spare switches or a known working switch from another key.
Ensure the keycap is properly seated on the switch.
