4. Assembly Instructions

The UPlee G73 Electric Bike is partially pre-assembled. Follow these steps to complete the assembly:

  1. Step 1: Unpacking

    Carefully remove all parts from the carton and lay them out. Inspect for any damage during transit.

  2. Step 2: Front Wheel Installation

    Insert the front wheel into the front fork slot. Ensure the disc brake aligns correctly with the caliper.

  3. Step 3: Secure Front Wheel

    Place the gaskets into the grooves on both sides of the front fork. Then, tighten the nuts on both sides to secure the wheel firmly.

  4. Step 4: Handlebar Connector Adjustment

    Adjust the handlebar connector so it faces directly forward, aligning with the front wheel.

  5. Step 5: Handlebar Installation

    Insert the handlebar into the connector. Screw up all screws, then adjust the handlebar to a comfortable angle and tighten all screws securely.

  6. Step 6: Saddle Installation

    Install the saddle onto the seat post.

  7. Step 7: Seat Post Installation

    Insert the seat post into the seat post clamp on the bike frame. Adjust the height to your preference and then lock the buckle securely. Ensure the seat clamp bolt(s) are evenly tightened according to torque specifications to avoid stripping.

  8. Step 8: Pedal Installation

    Identify the pedals: the right pedal is marked with "R" and the left pedal with "L". The right pedal has counter-clockwise threads, so tighten it by turning clockwise. The left pedal has clockwise threads, so tighten it by turning counter-clockwise. Ensure they are tightened firmly.

  9. Step 9: Mudguard Installation

    Install the front and rear mudguards onto the designated mounting points on the bike frame.

  10. Step 10: Battery Installation

    Place the battery box onto its stand on the bike frame. Turn the key to lock it securely in place.

5. Operation

5.1 General Riding Notes

  • Accelerate slowly when starting the bike to avoid heavy current draw and conserve electricity. Starting with pedal assist is recommended.
  • To increase mileage, utilize pedal assist when climbing hills.
  • Do not ride too fast to ensure safety.
  • If the bike will not be used for a long time, please shut off the power.

5.2 Parking

  • When dismounting the bike, always shut off the power switch.
  • When parking, remove the key for security.

"+" Increase Assist Level Press the "+" key to increase the support level by 1.

5.4 Display Interface

  • Battery Power: 5-segment battery level indication.
  • Drive Indication: Displays when front and rear drive functions are detected.
  • Real-time Speed: Current speed in kilometers per hour or mph.
  • Maximum Speed (MAX): Displays the maximum speed achieved.
  • Average Speed (AVG): Displays the average speed.
  • Gear Position: Switched by pressing the "+" and "-" keys.
  • Boost Icon: Displayed when the vehicle enters booster mode.
  • Headlight Icon: Displayed when headlights are on.

  • SET 1: Wheel Diameter: Adjustable range 16-29 inches (default 24 inches).
  • SET 2: Speed Limit: Adjustable range 1-99 km/h (default 25 km/h).
  • SET 3: Unit: Set to metric (KM/H) or imperial (MPH) (default KM/H).
  • SET 4: Automatic Sleep Time: Adjustable range 1-60 minutes (default 10 minutes).
  • SET 5: Single Mileage Clear: Choose 'y' to clear single mileage at startup or 'n' to not clear (default 'n').
  • SET 6: Battery Voltage: Adjustable range 24V, 36V, and 48V (default 36V).

5.6 Startup Password & NFC Card Binding

  • Startup Password: From the general Settings menu, simultaneously press and hold the "Power" button and the "-" button to enter the password setting. Press the power button to switch between requiring a password ('y') or no password ('n') for startup.
  • NFC Card Binding: From the general Settings menu, simultaneously press and hold the "Power" button and the "+" button to enter the card binding interface. Follow on-screen prompts (C1, C2) to bind NFC cards.

6. Charging the Battery

Proper charging practices are crucial for battery longevity and safety.

  • When charging, the charger's red indicator light will illuminate. It will turn green when the battery is fully charged.
  • A full charge typically takes 6-8 hours.
  • Always keep children away from the charger during operation.
  • The charger contains high voltage circuits; do not attempt to open or modify it without authorization.
  • Prevent liquids and metal scraps from entering the charger to avoid damage.
