5. Setup and Connection

The Eyoyo EY-009 scanner offers three connection modes: Bluetooth, 2.4G Wireless, and USB Wired. Choose the mode that best suits your device and scenario.

5.1. Bluetooth Wireless Connection

  1. Turn on Bluetooth: Press and hold the scan button for 8-10 seconds until the scanner's indicator light shows it's in pairing mode (usually a rapidly blinking blue light).
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your device: Go to your device's (e.g., iPad, smartphone, PC) Bluetooth settings.

5.2. 2.4G Wireless Connection

  1. Turn on 2.4G Mode: Scan the "2.4G Pairing Steps" barcode from the user manual (or a setup card provided with the scanner). The scanner will enter 2.4G pairing mode.
  2. Insert Dongle: Plug the 2.4G USB dongle into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Pairing: The scanner will automatically attempt to pair with the dongle. Once successfully paired, you will hear a beep, and the blue light on the dongle will become steady.
  4. Test Scanning: Open a text editor or application on your computer and scan a barcode to confirm the connection.

5.3. USB Wired Connection

  1. Connect Cable: Plug the USB charging cable into the scanner's charging port and the other end into an available USB port on your computer.

6. Operating Modes

The Eyoyo EY-009 scanner supports two data upload modes: Instant Upload Mode and Storage Mode.

6.1. Instant Upload Mode

In this mode, scanned barcode data is immediately transmitted to your connected device. This is the default mode and is suitable for real-time data entry.

  1. Ensure the scanner is connected to your device via Bluetooth, 2.4G wireless, or USB wired mode.
  2. Scan a barcode. The data will appear instantly on your device in any active text input field.

6.2. Storage Mode

Storage mode allows you to scan and store barcodes in the scanner's internal memory (16MB, up to 100,000 barcodes) when out of range or not connected to a device. Data can be uploaded later.

  1. Activate Storage Mode: Scan the "Storage Mode" barcode from the user manual (or setup card). The scanner will confirm entry into storage mode.
  2. Scan Barcodes: Scan barcodes as usual. The data will be stored internally.
  3. Upload Data: When you are ready to upload the stored data, connect the scanner to your device (via any of the three connection methods). Then, scan the "Data Upload" barcode from the user manual. The stored data will be automatically uploaded to your device.

7.4. Custom Prefix/Suffix Digits

  • Open a text input field (e.g., Notepad, Word document) on your device to receive the scanned data.
Scanner not charging:

  • Ensure the power source is functional.
Sound/Vibration not working as expected:

Data upload issues in Storage Mode:
