5. Setup and Charging
5.1. Initial Setup and First Use
- Upon receiving the jump starter, it is recommended to first turn on the flashlight function to discharge the unit.
- After discharging, fully charge the product for more than 4 hours using the provided TYPE-C charging cable and a 5V charger (e.g., a mobile phone charger).
- Ensure the jump starter has sufficient power (above 75%) before attempting to start a vehicle.
Note: Do not discharge and charge the jump starter at the same time.
5.2. Charging the Jump Starter
To charge the EAFC Jump Starter:
- Connect the TYPE-C charging cable to the jump starter's input port.
- Connect the other end of the cable to a 5V charger (e.g., a mobile phone charger).
- The digital display will show the charging progress. When the display shows 100%, charging is complete.
The charging time for a full charge is approximately 3-4 hours.
6. Operation
6.1. Jump Starting a 12V Vehicle
Before starting, ensure the jump starter has at least 75% charge.
- Turn off all electrical equipment in the car (e.g., headlights, navigation, air conditioner, audio).
- Fully insert the battery clamp connector into the EC5 interface of the jump starter.
- Connect the red clamp to the positive (+) pole of the car battery.
- Connect the black clamp to the negative (-) pole of the car battery.
- Turn the car's ignition switch to the START position.
- Once the car starts, immediately unplug the battery clamp connector from the jump starter and then remove the clamps from the car battery within 30 seconds.
Important Notes for Jump Starting:
- Do not start continuously. The starting time should not exceed 5 seconds per attempt.
- If the first attempt is unsuccessful, wait at least 30 seconds before the next attempt. Do not attempt to start continuously.
- If the car battery is severely discharged (e.g., doors and headlights cannot be opened normally), it is recommended to remove the car's negative battery terminal before connecting the jump starter to prevent the power supply from being sucked back and discharged. Consult customer service if unsure.
- For vehicles with start-stop technology or specific driving procedures, the negative pole of the car battery cannot be removed.
6.2. Charging Mobile Phones and Electronic Products
The jump starter can act as a power bank to charge various 5V electronic devices.
- Ensure the mobile device requires a 5V output.
- Connect a USB data cable to the jump starter's USB output port.
- Connect the other end of the cable to your mobile phone or electronic device.
- Press the switch button on the jump starter to begin charging. The digital display will show the output status.

6.3. LED Lighting Modes
The jump starter includes a built-in LED light with multiple modes for emergency situations.
- To turn on/off the LED: Long press the switch button (front) for 3 seconds.
- To cycle through modes: Once the LED is on, briefly press the switch button to cycle through the following sequence:
- Strong Light (Flashlight)
- Strong Light Flashing (Warning Light)
- SOS Mode (SOS distress signal)
- Off

7. Maintenance
- Storage: The circuit design allows for storage for 3-6 months when not in use. However, it is recommended to charge and discharge the unit once every 3 months to prolong its service life.
- Power Off: The product has an intelligent detection function. If there is no load or charging is complete, it will automatically enter sleep mode to save power. The power off switch only turns off the digital charging power supply; the DO interface for car starting still has 12V voltage output. When not in use, timely remove the battery clamp and cover the dust insulation cover.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
8. Troubleshooting (Q&A)
- Q: During charging, the battery shows 100% but is not fully charged.
- A: The 100% power display indicates that the charging is stopped. This is a half-charging state, which is conducive to the long-term storage of the host if it is not used for a long time. To continue charging, pull off the charging plug and insert it again.
- Q: The host does not respond when I touch the key.
- A: If the host voltage is too low, the low-voltage protection function activates and cuts off the circuit. Activate charging by inserting the charger into the charging port.
- Q: Will reverse connecting the positive and negative terminals damage the car?
- A: No, the EAFC jump starter is equipped with an intelligent safety detection system. If the clamps are connected incorrectly, the fuse inside the jump starter will automatically cut off the current to prevent danger to the operator and the car. (Note: reverse connection can lead to power bulge).
- Q: How many times can the main engine start the car?
- A: The number of starts depends on the car's power shortage, service life, displacement, and weather temperature. It is designed for emergency use.
- Q: How long does it take to charge a mobile phone from the jump starter?
- A: The charging time varies depending on the phone model and battery capacity. The jump starter's capacity is not directly comparable to phone battery capacity due to different design and discharge conversion efficiencies. The efficiency is about 50% for phone/tablet charging.
9. User Tips
- First Use Preparation: Always perform an initial discharge (using the flashlight) and then a full charge before the very first use. This conditions the battery and extends its lifespan.
- Optimal Starting Power: For reliable car starting, ensure the jump starter is charged above 75%.
- Avoid Continuous Cranking: To prevent damage to both the jump starter and your vehicle, do not crank the engine for more than 5 seconds at a time, and allow at least a 30-second cool-down period between attempts.
- Temperature Resilience: The EAFC jump starter is designed to operate in extreme temperatures (-40°C to 80°C), making it suitable for various climates.
- Multi-functional Use: Remember that beyond jump-starting, the device serves as a power bank and an emergency light, making it a versatile tool for your vehicle.
