1. Product Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Jansite 11.26-inch Dash Cam. This device is designed to enhance your driving experience with advanced features such as 4K video recording, wireless Carplay and Android Auto, GPS navigation, 5G WiFi, FM, and AUX connectivity. Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure proper operation and to address any potential issues.

Important Notes:

  • This Carplay system is not compatible with Huawei mobile phones. Some Android phones may experience disconnections, which is not a product defect.
  • Ensure your memory card is a Class 10 SD card from major brands (SanDisk, Kingston, Toshiba, Samsung) with a maximum capacity of 128GB for stable video recording.
  • Use the provided special car charger (3A). Insufficient current or voltage from other chargers may cause the device to restart.
  • To avoid connection difficulties, clear old Bluetooth connection records if too many phones have been connected.
  • Do not use a standard mobile phone data cable for power, as this can damage the device.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1. Wiring Instructions

Follow these steps to properly connect your dash cam:

  1. Connect the Type-C 3A cable to your device.
  2. Plug the other end of the cable into your car's cigarette lighter interface.

Warning: Strictly prohibit the use of mobile phone charging cables, as this can damage the device.

4.2. Professional Custom Power Cable (for Time-lapse Video)

For advanced features like time-lapse video, a professional custom power cable is used. This cable connects to your car's fuse box (BAT+, GND, ACC) and provides a stable 5V/2.5A output. This setup significantly reduces memory usage for time-lapse recordings.

4.3. Interface and Button Functions Overview

Familiarize yourself with the device's ports and buttons:

  1. Type-C charging port: For power input.
  2. AV IN: Audio/Video input.
  3. TF card slot: For inserting the memory card.
  4. AUDIO: Audio output port.

An optional GPS module can be connected to the device. For the rear camera, connect its trigger wire (red thin wire) to the positive pole of the reversing light, and then connect the camera extension cable to the monitor.

4.4. Camera Installation (Optional Rear Camera)

If you have an optional rear camera, follow these steps for installation:

  1. Locate a suitable drilling hole for the camera in the license plate attachment area. Mark the position and drill the appropriate size screw hole.
  2. Fix the camera to the rear of the car using screws.
  3. Connect the reversing trigger wire (red thin wire) from the camera to the positive pole of the car's reversing light.
  4. Connect the camera extension cable to the monitor.

Parking Lines Settings and Calibration

To calibrate the parking lines for the rear camera:

  1. Park your car in the middle of a parking space.
  2. On the device screen, manually drag the left side of the reversing assist line to adjust its position (up, left, right) so it is horizontal to the parking line on the ground.
  3. Repeat for the right side of the reversing assist line.
  4. After adjusting, click [confirm] to save the calibration.

5.1. Main Interface and Button Functions

The main interface provides quick access to various features:

  • Home Button: Returns to the home page.
  • Volume Button: Adjusts the volume.
  • Brightness Button: Adjusts screen brightness.
  • Settings Button: Jumps to the settings interface.
  • Time and Day: Displays current time and date.
  • Airplay: Opens iPhone screen projection and connects the device.
  • BT Music: Bluetooth music interface to display lyrics.
  • WIFI Video: Follow the APP, connect Wi-Fi.
  • Car Record: Taps to view a video on the video screen.
  • Carplay: Special connector for iPhone.
  • Android Auto: Special connector for Android mobile phone.
  • Miracast: Opens Android phone screen projection and connects the device.
  • Audio Out: Selects from 4 audio modes (Speaker, Carplay/Auto, FM, AUX).

5.2. Wireless Carplay

To use Apple Carplay:

  1. Click the [Apple CarPlay] button to enter the Apple CarPlay interface.
  2. Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your iPhone.
  3. On the device, select the [Apple CarPlay] option, then click [BT Manage] to connect Bluetooth with your phone.
  4. The device will automatically try to connect to the last connected phone when powered on.
  5. To disconnect, turn off your phone's Wi-Fi.

Note: Apple CarPlay only supports iPhone phones. For Android phones, please select the Android Auto option.

Connecting on iPhone:

  1. Open iPhone Settings.
  2. Navigate to the Bluetooth page.
  3. Find the Device Name (e.g., "LiangCaiBTName") and tap to connect.
  4. After successful pairing, a pop-up will ask to "Use Carplay Car". Confirm.
  5. The connection is complete.

5.3. Wireless Android Auto

To use Android Auto:

  1. Click the [Android Auto] button to enter the Android Auto interface.
  2. Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your Android phone.
  3. On the device, select the [Android Auto] option, then click [BT Manage] to connect Bluetooth with your phone.
  4. The device will automatically try to connect to the last connected phone when powered on.
  5. To disconnect, turn off your phone's Wi-Fi.

5.4. Airplay / Miracast (Screen Mirroring)

This feature allows you to mirror your phone's screen to the dash cam display.

  1. Enter the Wi-Fi settings on the dash cam and connect to your local Wi-Fi network.
  2. After successful Wi-Fi connection, navigate to the iPhone/Android phone mirror function on the dash cam and click "connect device".
  3. Complete the connection process on your phone.

Note: While connected via screen mirroring, you can view your phone's apps. However, some video player software or other applications may not support mirroring.

AirPlay for iOS System:

  1. Select Airplay on your iPhone.
  2. Connect your iPhone to the Wi-Fi network displayed on the dash cam (e.g., "QCKJ_XXXX").
  3. Open Control Center on your iPhone and tap Screen Mirroring.
  4. Select "Smartscreeen" from the list.

Screen Mirroring for Android System:

  1. Select Miracast (Google phones are not supported).
  2. Open Control Center on your Android phone and tap Smart View (Casting names may vary).
  3. Select "Smartscreeen".
  4. The device will connect.

5.5. BT Music (Bluetooth Music Playback)

To play music via Bluetooth:

  1. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is on.
  2. On the dash cam, select the [Bluetooth Music] option (accessible via Apple Carplay or Android Auto interface).
  3. Click the [BT Manage] option on the interface to connect Bluetooth with your phone.
  4. Once connected, you can start playing music from your phone.

The interface provides buttons for Last track, Play/Pause, and Next track. Click the Lyrics button to display lyrics (note: some mobile music player apps may not support this feature).

5.6. Bluetooth (BT Manage)

The Bluetooth management interface allows you to control connections:

  1. Click the Bluetooth button to switch on/off Bluetooth after entering the Bluetooth interface.
  2. The page displays the device name. You can click the Modify button to change the device's Bluetooth name.
  3. Select a device name to connect. Once successfully connected, the remote device name of the phone will appear, allowing you to play mobile phone music and use other functions.

5.7. Car Record (Dash Cam Functionality)

The dash cam records video footage. When a memory card is inserted, the system automatically enters video recording mode. A small red dot in the "Driving Monitoring" button will flash to indicate recording.

To view the camera image from the main page, click the car record button.

Swipe the screen to the left to switch between front and rear camera views (if applicable) to record simultaneously.

Controls on the Car Record interface:

  • Record Button: Click to start recording, click again to stop.
  • Lock Button: Locks the currently recorded video to prevent overwriting.
  • Photo Button: Takes a photo.
  • Playback Button: Views recorded videos.
  • Microphone Button: Toggles recording sound on/off.
  • Camera Distribution Button: Switches the camera distribution screen.

Recording Features:

  • Seamless Loop Recording: Recordings are automatically overwritten when the memory card is full, no manual deletion needed.
  • Emergency Locking: Automatically records and locks footage during emergency situations (e.g., collisions).
  • Emergency Recording: Manually lock important recordings.
  • 24 Hours Parking Monitoring: Provides 24/7 protection for your car.

5.8. Playback Video

To view recorded videos:

  1. Click the [Playback] button to enter the video playback interface.
  2. On this interface, you can click on the top section to select a video and on the right to play it.

Icons on the Playback interface:

  • Front Camera Loop: Looped video shot by the front camera.
  • Rear Camera Loop: Looped video shot by the rear camera.
  • Locked Video: Click to view videos saved after locking.
  • Photos: Click to view pictures taken with the one-touch photo function.
  • Delete: Click the [Delete] button to remove selected files.

5.9. Audio Modes

The device supports four audio output modes:

  • Speaker: Audio output directly from the device's built-in speaker.
  • Carplay/Android Auto: Use your phone to connect to the original car's Bluetooth for audio.
  • AUX: Audio output via the AUX cable. Adjust the volume on your original car stereo.
  • FM: Connect the device to your car radio via FM transmitter.

Built-in Speaker & AUX Connection

The dash cam has built-in speakers. For louder sound, you can transmit audio to your car speakers by either FM frequency syncing or connecting the included AUX cable to your car's AUX input jack.

Transmit FM

To use the FM Transmit function:

  1. Click the [FM Transmit] button.
  2. Select the desired frequency band (e.g., FM88.0MHZ) on the dash cam.
  3. Adjust your car radio's receiving band to the same frequency (e.g., FM88.0MHZ).

When FM Transmit is active, the monitor will not emit sound directly. All audio will be transmitted to your car's stereo system. If not using the original power cord, the FM Transmit signal may deteriorate.

Bluetooth Audio Output

If you connect your phone via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, you can use your phone's Bluetooth to directly connect to the original car's Bluetooth. Once connected, all sounds from the device will be transmitted to the original car speakers via Bluetooth.

5.10. Settings Menu

To access the settings menu, click the [Settings] button (gear icon) in the lower left corner of the main interface.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and device body. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Software Updates: Periodically check for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features. (No specific update method provided, so general advice).
