Setup

1. Unpacking and Initial Inspection

  • Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  • Verify that all items listed in the 'Contents of the Set' are present.
  • Inspect the machine for any visible damage. Do not use if damaged.

2. Initial Cleaning

  • Before first use, wash the water tank, all adapters, and filters with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  • Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.

3. Filling the Water Tank

  • Remove the water tank from the back of the machine.
  • Fill the tank with fresh, cold drinking water up to the 'MAX' level indicator. Do not overfill.
  • Place the water tank back into its position, ensuring it is securely seated.

4. Power Connection

  • Place the machine on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
  • Ensure the power cord (99 cm length) is not kinked or trapped.
  • Plug the machine into a suitable grounded power outlet.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On and Heating

  • Press the power button (usually indicated by a universal power symbol).
  • The machine will begin heating. This process takes approximately 20 seconds.
  • Indicator lights will show when the machine is ready for brewing.

2. Using Capsule Adapters

  • Select the appropriate adapter for your desired capsule type (e.g., Nespresso, Dolce Gusto).
  • Insert the capsule into the adapter according to the adapter's specific design.
  • Place the loaded adapter into the machine's brewing chamber.
  • Close the brewing chamber lever securely.

3. Using the Ground Coffee Adapter

  • Choose the appropriate filter: the small filter for espresso or 44mm ESE sachets, or the large filter for Lungo coffee.
  • Place the chosen filter into the ground coffee adapter.
  • Add your desired amount of ground coffee to the filter. Do not overfill or tamp too hard.
  • Place the loaded ground coffee adapter into the machine's brewing chamber.
  • Close the brewing chamber lever securely.

4. Brewing Coffee and Adjusting Water Quantity

  • Place a cup on the drip tray.
  • Once the machine is heated, press either the 'Less water' or 'More water' button to start brewing.
  • The machine offers 7 individual water quantity settings. Pressing the respective button will dispense coffee according to the pre-set volume.
  • To stop brewing manually, press the active brewing button again.

5. After Brewing

  • Carefully open the brewing chamber lever.
  • Remove the used capsule/ground coffee adapter and dispose of the waste.
  • The machine will automatically enter standby mode after a period of inactivity to save energy.

Maintenance

1. Daily Cleaning

  • Always unplug the machine before cleaning.
  • Remove and empty the drip tray and capsule/ground coffee waste container. Wash them with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry.
  • Wash all used adapters and filters after each use.
  • Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the machine in water.

2. Water Tank Cleaning

  • The water tank should be cleaned regularly, especially if not used daily.
  • Remove the tank, wash with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and air dry before refilling.

3. Descaling

  • Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up in the machine, affecting performance and taste.
  • Descale the machine every 2-3 months, or more frequently in areas with hard water.
  • Use a commercially available descaling solution suitable for coffee machines, following the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Run several cycles with clean water after descaling to rinse out any residue.

Troubleshooting
