This device offers versatile audio playback options including CD, Bluetooth, USB, AM/FM radio, and AUX input, all with premium stereo sound and a portable design. Please read this manual carefully to ensure proper use and to maximize your listening experience.

3. Setup

3.1 Powering the Device

The HOMEFISH Portable CD Boombox can be powered in two ways:

  • AC Power: Connect the included AC power adapter to the AC input jack on the boombox and then plug it into a standard wall outlet.
  • Battery Power: For portable use, insert 6 'C' size batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located on the bottom of the unit. Ensure correct polarity (+/-) when inserting batteries.

3.2 Antenna Setup for Radio

For optimal FM radio reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna. For AM reception, the unit has a built-in antenna, but you may need to adjust the unit's position for better signal.

4. Operating Instructions

The boombox supports 6 primary play modes:

4.1 CD Player Operation

  • Open the CD compartment cover.
  • Place a CD (Audio-CD, CD-R/RW, MP3, or Audiobook CD) onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
  • Close the CD compartment cover securely.
  • Select CD mode using the Mode button.
  • Use the Play/Pause, Skip Forward/Backward buttons for playback control.
  • The CD player supports shuffle, repeat, and program functions. Refer to the on-screen display for options.

4.2 USB Player Operation

  • Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 or WMA audio files into the USB port.
  • Select USB mode using the Mode button.
  • The unit will automatically detect and play compatible audio files.
  • Use the Play/Pause, Skip Forward/Backward buttons for playback control.
  • The USB player supports shuffle, repeat, and program functions.

4.3 Bluetooth 5.0 Connectivity

  • Select Bluetooth mode using the Mode button. The display will show "BT" or a similar indicator.
  • On your Bluetooth-enabled device (e.g., smartphone, tablet), search for available devices.
  • Select "HOMEFISH Boombox" (or similar name) from the list to pair.
  • Once paired, you can stream audio wirelessly from your device to the boombox.

4.4 AUX Input

  • Connect an external audio device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) to the AUX input jack using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
  • Select AUX mode using the Mode button.
  • Audio from your external device will now play through the boombox speakers. Control playback from your external device.

4.5 AM/FM Stereo Radio

  • Select FM or AM mode using the Mode button.
  • Use the Tuning knob to manually search for radio stations.

4.6 Sound Control

  • Volume: Adjust the Volume knob to increase or decrease the sound level.
  • BASS Boost: Press the BASS button to enhance the bass output for a richer sound experience.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the boombox. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • CD Lens Care: If the CD player experiences reading errors, use a specialized CD lens cleaner disc to clean the laser lens.
  • Battery Replacement: When using battery power, replace all 6 'C' batteries simultaneously when the power indicator dims or audio quality degrades. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, remove batteries and store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
