6. Operation
6.1. Switching Measurement Units (Yards/Meters/Feet)
To change the measurement unit (Yards, Meters, or Feet):
- Press and hold the Mode (M) button for 3 seconds.
- The unit will switch, and you can confirm the new unit through the eyepiece display.
6.2. Mode Selection
Press the Mode (M) button to cycle through the available measurement modes.
6.2.1. Mode 1: Tour Mode (No Slope Compensation)
This mode provides straight-line distance measurement without slope compensation, making it suitable for legal golf tournaments.
- Ensure the device is powered on.
- Select Mode 1 (Tour Mode) by pressing the Mode (M) button until the slope indicator is off.
- Aim the target indicator at the desired object.
- Press the Power button to measure.
- The straight-line distance will be displayed on the screen.
6.2.2. Mode 2: Golf Mode (Slope Compensation)
This mode calculates golf-compensated distance, taking into account the elevation changes (slope) to provide an adjusted distance for club selection. A 'slope' logo will appear on the display when this mode is active.
- Ensure the device is powered on.
- Select Mode 2 (Golf Mode) by pressing the Mode (M) button until the slope indicator is visible.
- Aim the target indicator at the desired object.
- Press the Power button to measure.
- The straight-line distance, angle, and slope-compensated distance will be displayed on the screen.

6.3. Scan, Flagpole Lock & Vibration
These features are available in both Mode 1 and Mode 2:
- Scanning Mode: Aim at the slope or background behind the flag. Long press the Power button to enter scanning mode.
- Flagpole Lock: While in scanning mode, slowly move the rangefinder's target indicator from the background towards the flag. Once the flag is successfully locked, the rangefinder will vibrate, and the measurement data will be displayed.

6.4. Angle Calibration
If the angle measurement becomes inaccurate, you may need to calibrate the device. It is recommended to perform this operation on a horizontal surface or using a tripod.
- Turn on the power.
- Observe the LCD display.
- Press and hold both the Power button and the Mode (M) button simultaneously for 3 seconds.
- The LCD display will show "CAL" (calibration).
- Press the Power button to complete the calibration.
After successful calibration, the unit should display an angle of 0° in the horizontal state.
7. Maintenance
7.1. Cleaning the Lenses
The laser rangefinder's lenses are multi-coated for optimal light transmission. To clean them:
- Gently remove fingerprints or smudges using the provided lens demisting cloth.
- Wipe in a circular motion.
- If using a cleaning solution, apply it to the clean cloth first, then wipe the lenses. Do not apply solution directly to the lenses.
7.2. Battery Care
- Recharge the device when the low battery indicator appears.
- If the device will not be used for a long period, ensure it is fully charged before storage.
7.3. Storage
- Store the device within the temperature range of -20°C to 50°C.
- When not in use for an extended period, store the device in its protective case in a dry environment.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device does not power on. | Low battery. | Charge the device using the USB Type-C cable. |
| Inaccurate distance readings. | Environmental factors (rain, fog, dust); Measuring through glass; Target too small or non-reflective. | Avoid measuring through glass. Ensure clear line of sight. Select light-colored, larger targets if possible. Recalibrate angle if necessary. |
| Display is dim or unreadable at night. | Eyepiece display is not illuminated for low-light conditions. | Use additional lighting to view readings in low-light conditions. |
| Flagpole lock not working or inconsistent. | Unsteady hand; Background interference. | Ensure a steady hand. Slowly scan from background to flag. |
| Angle measurement is incorrect. | Device needs calibration. | Perform Angle Calibration as described in section 6.4. |

10. User Tips
- For best accuracy, especially on longer distances, ensure your hands are steady or use a stable surface.
- When measuring in challenging weather (rain, fog, dust), the maximum measurement distance may be reduced. Try to target larger, lighter-colored objects for better reflection.
- Remember to switch off slope compensation (Mode 1) for official tournament play.
- The magnetic strip feature allows for convenient attachment to golf carts or clubs.

12. Important Notes
- This rangefinder is designed for long-distance measurements, with a minimum measurement distance of 5 meters.
- Glass can reflect the laser beam and affect measurement results. Do not measure through glass during use.
- In low-light conditions at night, additional lighting is required to view the readings, as the eyepiece display is not illuminated.
- The 6x magnification can be adjusted by rotating the eyepiece knob.
- Rain, fog, and dusty conditions may obstruct laser transmission and affect the maximum measurement distance. When measuring objects, select light-colored buildings as the farthest target as possible. Complex vegetation on mountains can obstruct the reflection of laser signals.
