3. Product Overview

The Ourlife MTR40 features a compact design with a 2.0-inch IPS touch screen for easy navigation. It includes essential buttons for power, mode selection, and recording, along with ports for charging and external accessories.

4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
  2. Insert the 1050mAh battery, ensuring the contacts align correctly.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2. Memory Card Installation

The camera supports Micro SDHC/TF cards up to 128GB (U3 recommended).

  1. Locate the memory card slot on the side of the camera.
  2. Insert the Micro SD card with the gold contacts facing the back of the camera until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, gently push the card until it pops out.

4.3. Charging the Battery

Connect the camera to a USB power source using the provided Type-C USB cable. The charging indicator will show the charging status.

4.4. Using the Waterproof Housing

The included waterproof housing allows the camera to be used underwater up to 30 meters. Ensure the housing is properly sealed before submerging.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power/Mode button for a few seconds.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power/Mode button for a few seconds until the camera shuts down.

5.2. Basic Recording (Video/Photo)

  • Switch Modes: Press the Power/Mode button repeatedly to cycle through Video, Photo, and other modes.
  • Start/Stop Recording/Capture Photo: Press the Shutter/OK button.

5.3. Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS)

The MTR40 features 6-axis EIS for smooth and steady videos, supporting resolutions up to 4K@60fps/30fps, 2.7K@60fps/30fps, 1080P@60fps/30fps, and 720P@60fps/30fps. Enable EIS in the camera settings for enhanced stability.

5.4. Digital Zoom

The camera supports 5X digital zoom. Tap the screen or use the zoom controls to adjust the magnification from 1X to 5X.

5.6. WiFi Connection & App Control

The MTR40 supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi for stable video transmission and instant sharing. Download the 'SupCam Pro' app to connect your camera to your mobile phone.

Quickly Open Camera WiFi Hotspot:

  • To Activate: Long press the 'UP' button to quickly open the camera's WiFi hotspot.
  • Hotspot Password: The default password is "1234567890".
  • To Deactivate: Short press the 'UP' button again to turn off the WiFi hotspot.

5.7. 2.4G Remote Control

5.8. External Microphone (Optional)

  • Pre-Record Mode: When enabled, the camera records a few seconds of footage before you press the shutter, ensuring you don't miss critical moments. Pre-recording times vary by resolution and EIS settings (e.g., Normal Video: 30FPS-20S; 30FPS(EIS)-10S; 60FPS-10S; 60FPS(EIS)-5S).
