Overview of 7 measurement types

6.1 Basic Distance Measurement (Single Measurement)

  • Point the laser at the target.
  • Press the MEAS button (14) once. The measured distance will be displayed.

6.2 Continuous Measurement

  • Press and hold the MEAS button (14) to activate continuous measurement.
  • Move the device, and the display will update in real-time, showing the current distance.
  • Press MEAS again to stop continuous measurement.

6.3 Area and Volume Calculation

  • Press the FUN RECORD button (16) to cycle through measurement modes until the Area or Volume icon (5) appears.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to measure the required dimensions (length, width, height). The device will automatically calculate and display the area or volume.

6.4 Pythagorean Measurement

The device supports three types of Pythagorean calculations (6) for indirect measurements:

  • Press the FUN RECORD button (16) to select the desired Pythagorean mode.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to measure the necessary sides of the triangle. The device will calculate the unknown side.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the device in its carry bag in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
  • Battery Care: Recharge the battery regularly, even if the device is not used frequently, to maintain battery health.
  • Laser Lens: Keep the laser emission and reception lenses clean to ensure accurate measurements. Use a soft cloth, similar to cleaning camera lenses.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Device not powering on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a Type-C charger for at least 15 minutes.
  • Inaccurate measurements:
    • Check if the laser lenses are clean.
    • Ensure the reference point is correctly set (front, middle, or rear).
    • Verify that the target surface is suitable for laser reflection (use the reflector if needed).
    • Avoid measuring through transparent surfaces like glass.
  • Laser not visible: In bright light conditions, the laser might be less visible. Use the reflector or measure in shaded areas.
  • Display errors: Try powering the device off and on again. If the issue persists, contact customer support.

9. User Tips

  • For maximum accuracy, especially over longer distances, place the device on a stable surface or use a tripod with the tripod screw hole (13).
  • When measuring outdoors or in bright conditions, the included reflector can significantly improve laser visibility and measurement reliability.
  • Always ensure the laser beam is not obstructed during measurement to prevent errors.
  • Utilize the data storage function (50 sets) to keep track of multiple measurements for later review or calculation.
