5. Installation

Before proceeding with installation, ensure you have all necessary tools and have disconnected the vehicle's battery. Professional installation is highly recommended.

5.1. Applicable Models & Years

This system is designed for OPEL ASTRA H 2006-2014. Note: Years are for reference only. Please confirm the center console of your vehicle before installation.

5.2. Installation Effect

The traditional car infotainment system is often outdated with average sound quality and laggy performance. The upgraded version features smart connectivity, high-definition audio, and smooth operation. Observe the visual difference before and after installation.

5.3. Connector Pin Pictures

Before purchasing, please make sure the original interface is the same as the picture. Connect the power cable and other connectors as shown.

5.4. Rear View Camera Connection

5.6. 360-Degree Panoramic Camera Installation

Our 360 panoramic camera has an auto-calibration function, allowing you to set the parameters directly on the machine without calibration paper and other tools. The dual left and right cameras are more portable than traditional camera installations, and there is no need to drill holes or remove door panels during installation. Please note that only the QS8PNC version supports 360 panoramic cameras.

6. Basic Operation

6.1. Power On & Power Off

The radio will power on automatically when the car's ACC is powered. It will then access its main UI after displaying the start logo or Boost image. The radio will power off automatically when you remove the car key.

6.2. Reset (RST)

To reset the system, use a small, pointed object to press into the RST hole located on the radio's front panel. This will restart the system.

6.3. Touch Screen Usage

  • Click/Click and Hold: Use your finger to directly touch icons or buttons to operate. A short click activates a function (e.g., radio icon on Main UI to turn on radio). A long click performs corresponding operations like removing or deleting an app icon.
  • Slip: Use your finger to slide the touch screen left, right, up, or down. For example, sliding the screen up and down can check the music display list.
  • Zoom: When browsing webpages, use two fingers to long-click the screen. Spread two fingers to zoom in, or merge two fingers to zoom out.

6.4. Program Switching

  • Radio, music, video, and Bluetooth music cannot work simultaneously.
  • Radio, music, video, and Bluetooth music can work with GPS function at the same time. The volume of radio, music, video, and Bluetooth music will automatically turn down during GPS broadcast.

7. Functional Applications

7.1. Main UI

The main user interface provides quick access to various functions:

  1. Back key, home key, task key: Navigation buttons.
  2. Status bar: Displays time, WLAN status, and location.
  3. More Application: Tap to enter the full application screen.
  4. Multimedia shortcut display window: Shows music, radio, Bluetooth music, etc.
  5. Safe driving assistance controls display window.
  6. Show date and week and local weather.
  7. Common APP area: Press and hold an icon to replace it with another app. Click an icon to access its function. On non-main UI screens, click the home icon to return to the main UI.

7.2. Dropdown Bar

7.3. Bluetooth

7.3.1. Bluetooth Connection

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth function on the device.
  2. The connected Bluetooth device list screen will be displayed.
  3. Touch the 'Search' icon to begin searching for your cellphone's Bluetooth. Ensure your cellphone's Bluetooth is turned on. Your cellphone's Bluetooth will appear on the screen.
  4. Touch your cellphone in the list to pair. You may need to enter the password '0000' on your phone and allow the device to access your contact list.
  5. After successful pairing, the system will establish a Bluetooth connection, and the device name will be displayed in the pair list.
  6. The next time you turn on the player, Bluetooth will connect automatically.

7.3.2. Bluetooth Settings

  2. Rename the device.
  3. Reset the device PIN code.

Touch the call icon to enter the calling records page. You can switch among outgoing, incoming, and missed calls.

Touch the search icon to update the contact list from your cellphone. You can slide the letter on the right side to quickly search the list.

7.4. Music Playback

The system supports local music playback from various sources.

7.4.1. Music Playlists

Music playlists are divided into "Collection", "All", "SD card playlist" and "Udisk playlists". The system supports 3 U-disk playlists; the U-disk playlists option will be hidden if no U-disk is inserted.

7.5. Radio

The radio function allows you to listen to FM/AM bands and save your favorite stations.

7.5.1. Radio Operation

  • Low-frequency step tuning: Adjust frequency downwards.
  • High-frequency step tuning: Adjust frequency upwards.
  • Auto search radio station: Automatically search and save stations.
  • Search to Previous valid station: Go to the previous strong signal station.
  • Switch bands: Toggle between FM/AM bands.
  • Search to next available station: Go to the next strong signal station.
  • Access into DSP apk: Open DSP settings.
  • Add to favorites: Save current station to favorites.
  • Favorites list: View saved stations.
  • Turn off radio: Power off the radio function.

7.5.2. RDS (Radio Data System)

Supports "TA" (Traffic Announcement) and "AF" (Alternative Frequencies) functions. AF searches for other transmitting frequencies automatically on current radio stations. TA searches for the same type of radio stations automatically. Press "PTY" to search for your favorite program, such as specific types of music.

7.6. DSP (Digital Sound Processor)

The DSP provides advanced audio customization options.

7.6.1. EQ (Equalizer)

The EQ supports multimedia modes: customize, standard, rock, soft, classical, pop, hall, jazz, cinema, and balance. The DSP supports 32 segments of data that can be adjusted from 20Hz to 20kHz. You can directly slide the sound wave line with your finger to set the EQ sound effect, or select the corresponding frequency band for refined settings.

7.6.2. Sound Field Settings

The default is centered, and the sound is output in a balanced way. Selecting different speaker modes will make the sound focus on being output in a certain area. You can adjust the buttons around the seat picture or slide the small icon on the seat picture, which will also make the sound focus on being output in a certain area.

7.6.3. Channel Settings

You can set the sound gain for the speakers of each channel to make the volume of all speakers consistent. Additionally, you can set the phase inversion to ensure that your speakers work properly.

7.6.4. Sound Filtering (HPF/LPF)

You can use the functions of HPF and LPF to filter the audio signal for each channel, making the sound purer.

7.6.5. Dynamic Bass Boost

Enhance the volume and expressiveness of the bass part to improve the low-frequency effect, making the music or sound fuller and more impactful.

You can turn on or off the 3D surround sound effect to create a more immersive listening experience.

7.7. Steering Wheel Control (SW Learning)

The system supports steering wheel controls for a safer and more enjoyable journey.

  1. Touch 'SW Learning' to enter the steering wheel learning page. Touch 'Start' to begin.
  2. Press the car steering wheel buttons you want to set. Once the notice indicates to select learning buttons, click the button icon on the screen. If successful, the button icon will have a blue label.
  3. Repeat for other steering control buttons.
  4. After learning is complete, touch "End" and exit.

Note: For cars without a Canbus protocol, steering wheel learning is done via car settings. For cars with a CANBUS system, the Canbus box analyzes the original car's steering wheel buttons.

7.8. GPS Navigation

Our product supports Google Maps, Herewego, IGO, Sygic, and Yandex. For online maps, connect via WiFi or 4G LTE. You can also download maps for offline use.

A high-speed GPS antenna is included, providing stable signal and faster satellite search.

7.9. Carplay & Android Auto

Use voice control for music playback, map navigation, call messaging, and more. Carplay/Android Auto lets you sync photos and music from your phone. When driving, use Carplay or Android Auto for calls, messages, music, and more.

7.9.1. WiFi Connection

  1. Turn on WiFi and Bluetooth on your phone.
  2. Find Bluetooth "CarBT-G5" and click on pairing.
  3. After successful Bluetooth pairing, allow connection to Carplay.

7.9.2. USB/WiFi Connection

  1. Turn on WiFi and Bluetooth on your phone.
  2. Find Bluetooth "CarBT-G5" and click on pairing.
  3. After successful Bluetooth pairing, allow connection to Android Auto (or use USB connection).

7.10. Rear View System AHD 1080P

The reversing camera system supports up to 1920*1080 pixel display, eliminating blind spots and allowing the driver to see hazards while backing up. You can adjust the reversing track up and down.

7.11. ADAS DVR AHD 1080P

Supports video loop recording. The camera automatically overwrites the oldest videos when the card is full, except for locked emergency videos.

7.12. TPMS Function (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)

Low tire pressure can lead to flat tires, poor tire grip, and rear-end accidents. Four-wheel air pressure imbalance can cause steering wheel shaking, poor driving experience, and increased fuel consumption. The TPMS function provides tire pressure display, temperature display, real-time monitoring, and high-speed sensors.

7.13. Network Connection

  • Support 2.4G & 5G WiFi: For internet access, Android car stereos offer 2.4 GHz WiFi. Our system supports 5 GHz WiFi for optimal internet connectivity.
  • Bluetooth tethering for saving power: For running weather widgets or streaming music, Bluetooth tethering consumes less power than a WiFi hotspot.
  • USB Network Tethering: With a USB cable, you can have almost the same bandwidth as a WiFi hotspot, and your phone battery can even charge slightly.
  • 4G SIM card network: Please enter the SIM card before turning on the device. Includes 4G card slot and 4G antenna. Note: QS1 does not support 4G functionality. You can also choose our Cloud Card service, which eliminates the need to buy a separate SIM card and gives you 10GB of free traffic for the first month.

7.14. Cooling Fan

You can control the fan automatically or manually. In automatic mode, when the CPU temperature is above 50°C, the system will start the fan adjustment by itself, and when the temperature is below 50°, the system will turn off the fan automatically.

Inputting digital radio programs and touch operation are supported. You can search and change programs using the touch screen. This radio can also power a connected DAB+ BOX. After installing the DAB+ Player APK, simply connect the DAB+ Box USB port to use this feature.
