Initial Setup

Before using your watch, familiarize yourself with the buttons:

  • EL/SET Button (Top Left): Used for activating the EL backlight and for setting functions.
  • MODE Button (Bottom Left): Used to cycle through different watch modes (Time, Alarm, Stopwatch, Countdown, Dual Time).
  • START/STOP Button (Top Right): Used to start/stop functions in Stopwatch and Countdown modes, and to adjust values during setting.
  • RESET Button (Bottom Right): Used to reset values in Stopwatch and Countdown modes, and to adjust values during setting. (Note: The image labels the bottom right button as 'START' and the top right as 'START/STOP Button'. For clarity, we will refer to the top right as START/STOP and the bottom right as RESET, as is common for digital watches with these functions.)

Setting Time and Date:

  1. In normal time mode, press the MODE button repeatedly until you reach the time setting screen (usually indicated by flashing digits).
  2. Press the EL/SET button to select the digit you wish to adjust (e.g., seconds, minutes, hours, 12/24 hour format, month, date, year).
  3. Use the START/STOP or RESET buttons to increase or decrease the selected value.
  4. Once all settings are correct, press the MODE button to exit the setting mode.

Operation

Activating EL Backlight:

Press the EL/SET button (top left) to illuminate the display for a few seconds in low-light conditions.

Using the Stopwatch:

  1. Press the MODE button until 'STW' (Stopwatch) appears on the display.
  2. Press the START/STOP button to start the stopwatch.
  3. Press the START/STOP button again to pause/resume.
  4. Press the RESET button to reset the stopwatch to zero.

Using the Countdown Timer:

  1. Press the MODE button until 'COUNTDOWN' appears on the display.
  2. To set the countdown time, press and hold the EL/SET button until the digits flash.
  3. Use the START/STOP and RESET buttons to set the desired countdown duration.
  4. Press EL/SET to confirm and exit setting mode.
  5. Press the START/STOP button to start the countdown.
  6. The watch will emit an alarm when the countdown reaches zero.

Setting the Alarm:

  1. Press the MODE button until 'AL' (Alarm) appears on the display.
  2. Press and hold the EL/SET button until the alarm time digits flash.
  3. Use the START/STOP and RESET buttons to set the desired alarm time.
  4. Press EL/SET to confirm and exit setting mode.
  5. To turn the alarm on/off, press the START/STOP button while in alarm mode. An alarm icon will appear/disappear.

Dual Time Function:

This watch supports a dual time display, allowing you to keep track of two different time zones simultaneously. Refer to the setting instructions to configure the second time zone.

Maintenance

Water Resistance:

The SKMEI 2559 watch is 3 ATM (30 meters) water resistant. This means it is suitable for daily use, such as washing hands, sweating, or light rain. It is NOT suitable for swimming, showering, or diving. Avoid pressing buttons underwater.

General Care:

  • Clean the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
  • Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields.
  • If the watch comes into contact with saltwater, rinse it with fresh water and dry thoroughly.

Troubleshooting

Display is blank or dim:
The battery may be low. Replace the battery (CR2025 type) with a new one. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
Time is inaccurate:
Re-set the time following the instructions in the 'Setting Time and Date' section. Ensure buttons are not accidentally pressed, which could alter settings.
Water ingress:
If water enters the watch, immediately stop using it and seek professional repair. Water resistance is not permanent and may degrade over time with wear and tear.
